Help: Need a new vacuum cleaner

I bought a Bissell Powerforce upright (bagged) for about $40 at WalMart and is does a wonderful job. Since early retirement from AT&T I clean houses for a local builder for extra $$ - so I do A LOT of cleaning. It is very lightweight and the best I have used since starting my own business. (And I have tried several brands.)

Not sure if this is still going on as I did this a few days ago but Kohl's has their Dyson DC14 on sale. It is normally $449 and they have it at $319 right now (sale started today). I used a 30% off coupon that I got in the mail (but it has a code, so I think anyone could use it online) and so that brought it down to $224! Then I also used eBates which is having 4% cash back so that is another $10. And they have free shipping. So that is a $450 vaccum I just got for $214.
I'm so excited! We really need one. I know it's not the top model or anything but I hope it will work great still!

The code is thirty4u but you have to have a Kohl's card to use it. The Kohl's card is SO worth it though, I am always finding really good deals there!

thanks for your advice! i ended up buying the dyson at kohl's & got kohl's bucks too! always wanted a dyson but couldn't justify the price. how is it working for you?

My local bed, bath and beyond had a purple dyson animal brand new, but the box was torn on the side, and also a little dented. Maybe something to heavy had been sitting on top of it. Anyway, the fellow let me use the 20% off coupon on top of the discounted price. I think I paid $330 total. I had always wanted one but didn't want to spend the $500. I have to say, it is amazing. The stuff it pulls out of the carpet is crazy. Best $ I ever spent!

I bought the dyson Animal ball almost a year ago at Kohls with the 30% of plus bounce backs. I LOVE it!!! The suction is awesome!! It is the first vacuum that I can use to go from carpet to hard surface without changing any tools or switching vacuums. I also LOVE the extension wand and accessories. Some people complained that it was hard to use, but I find it super easy and very convenient!! I can now reach places with ease that I used to have to get up on a chair or ladder while holding the vaccuum up in the other hand to reach. It's also light weight and have no problem hauling it up and down the stairs. Can you tell I LOVE my Dyson!!! I highly recommend it!!
