As for airfare, do a search on something like Travelocity to get a feel for what airfares are for your destination. If you want to fly Southwest, you will have to search them as well since they don't show up on travel websites. Once you see what prices are going for, be ready to buy when it gets below what you consider a good price. I know that anything under $200 from Minneapolis is a steal and I buy immediately.... 200-230 is a good price and I will buy if time is of the essence.

If you are looking for discount info, go to www.mousesavers.com for all kinds of discount advice.

Another good website to compare airfares is Kayak.com or Sidestep.com - both Southwest and JetBlue show up there, which is not true for some airfare search sites.

The absolute cheapest way to go to Disney is to stay offsite. I've got a trip coming up in May that's $300 for one week in a three star resort (room has two double beds) with a compact rental car. I'm really close to the back entrance by Animal Kingdom, so it takes about five to ten minutes to drive to any of the parks. I booked it through Expedia - you can also book onsite stays through them.

If you want to stay onsite, I'd just keep trying out dates and hotels on the Disney website. Some people have had luck getting PIN numbers for additional discounts from Disney by saving and deleting different itineraries on the website.

Cheapest tickets are from Undercover Tourist (UndercoverTourist.com), using a link from the Mousavers.com newsletter. You can sign up for the newsletter on the website, and it will be sent to you once a month on the 15th of each month.

You could also check out the budget board for other tips and tricks. HTH.
