I need your help! My DH is likes the deluxe hotels and has only stayed in those, I have stayed in all types. What our problem is our upcoming January trip we can't decided if we should stay for 7 or 8 nights at a value/moderate (looking at ASMo or CSR) or 5 or 6 nights at a deluxe (can't decide there, we're looking at ALK, Poly, and Contemporary). It's going to be me, DH, and DD(4). I think it would be better to stay longer with the shorter hours in January than spend our money on the deluxe and a shorter stay, DH LOVES the deluxes and thinks we should stay a shorter amount of time. Any thoughts/advice would be very helpful!! :wave2: Thanks!!

I'm with you! Stay longer at CSR or a value! We just did 8 nights at POR and it wasn't long enough for me. Plus with a shorter trip are your really going to get much resort time anyhow, besides sleeping?

Its a difficult choice to make, you have to consider what's more important to you, staying longer or have a nicer resort. Yes its true that January hours are shorter, but it might be a good idea to stay at a deluxe for that time since you will have lots of time to enjoy the resort! We are going to POR, but if I had the money I would love to try Poly!!! Good Luck!

I agree with the post above, stay longer. There never seems to be enough time in disney world. :flower:

I'm with your DH, I'd stay in a Deluxe for a shorter period of time. With a 4 year old one of the monorail resorts would be great. Really with that age you aren't going to want to be park comandos and by staying at a deluxe resort you won't feel like you are missing out on things when you have hotel time. Some of the best times of our trip were the times we spent at the hotel. We basically did 3/4 days at the parks and then did character meals at the monorail hotels and spent time at the Poly beach and pool. It was a really relaxing vacation. We were there 6 nights and it was a perfect amount of time.
