My 2 year old broke her collar bone last evening and we leave for DxL tomorrow (monday). She will be staying in a crib (I believe portable play pen) while we stay at DxL. Does anyone know if it would be possible to obtain some type of cushion (like a mattress) for the portable play pen. I would put her in a bed but it will be me, my DH, DD (9) and DD (5). The 5 year old could always sleep in the playpen but I am not sure how comfortable that would be.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Last trip to WDW my 9 year old broke her foot!!!! Am I having bad luck?

Thanks

WELCOME! :)

Im very sorry to hear bout your sweet baby :(

What I would do.... and I hesitate to say this only because Im not fond of DxL's handi access... but since your not asking a handi question... I would say call DxL and see if housekeeping may have something that can be used! :) Just a thought I always call b4 I go somewhere just to make sure all is kewl :) Hope this helps!

Thanks Wheelsie. I did just that and spoke to a CM at DxL. I requested extra bedding for the crib or portable playpen (whichever they have) and requested that it be in the room on arrival (we arrive at midnight!!).

I have a question regarding the parks! I am so nervous about waiting in line with her. Any suggestions? Can I send my husband and other 2 DD's in line and then just join them?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Please read the threads about the GAC and using your stroller as a wheelchair. You should get a GAC. I hope that you can keep her comfortable... what a terrible shame, poor baby! In case she needs to rest while the rest of the family goes to the park, you might consider using Fairy Godmothers or another babysitting service some time.

I agree with the GAC suggestion. It will be a lot less jarring for her if she can stay in the stroller as much as possible. I would say you have a run of bad luck with broken bones and WDW. I don't know what you can do to prevent the next one, but here's some healing pixie dust.

A big Thanks you for all your responses on all the boards I have posted and through my e-mail!!! I hope I wasn't insulting saying that the other boards were more active, please don't think I meant it as such! I am familiar with the DVC board and asked there!

I guess I am just an overanxious Mom concerned about her baby!!! I will review information on the GAC pass and I thank you again for the pixie dust! We will send our regards to Mickey for all of you.

You weren't insulting at all. This board isn't very busy in terms of postings, but there are regulars and moderators who check it occasionally during the day.
Glad to see you got some answers in other places too.
You have probably left by now, so if you read this when you get back, I hope you had a good time.?
