Help!!! My cat lost his meow.

Hi,
Wierdest thing....I have a "chatty cathy" for a cat...always meowing. All of a sudden when he tries to meow....hardly anything comes out...and then he yacks. Dosen't throw up...just like the meow made him gag.

He can pur, he can eat....wondering if there is something stuck.

Has this ever happened to your Kitty?

It did happen to one of my kitties.

I had switched her over to wet food and a couple days later, she lost her meow.

It's been four or five years since then and she still really doesn't have it back.

It took me about a week to figure out the connection with the food, so I stopped as soon as I figured it out.

Wow....This cat is almost 4 yrs old. We did get a kitten a few weeks ago and has eaten her food...Hmmm. I'm going to the vet soon. I'm already going on fri for kitty to have her shots. Aaaargh...the expense of pets
