Anyone have suggestions what we can do, other than rip the wall out? It absolutely reeks in here!! :faint: :faint: It's happened before, there must be a spot behind the bedroom wall where a mouse will get trapped and can't get out. They they die and man do they stink! I'm not cruel, I do feel bad for the little guy. I wish I knew how to fix it, but I can't even pinpoint exactly where it's at. Does anyone know, can a smell actually make you sick?

EEEWWWW :scratchin how did you get the other one out? I would be tearing up the wall to make sure it didn't happen again, other than that no advice, sorry :wave2:

Sorry no advise we get them in our drop ceiling in the basement ( Glue traps ) Boy do they reak .

OT. I'm sitting here in the dark DISing of corse and hows that nursey ryme go.
And along came a SPYDER and sat down Beside ( HIM ) . I just saw this glow go past my monitor in the blackness and here sits a spyder with a leg span of about a nickle on my keyboard.

I took care of it but I think I will be Dising for a while tonight .

Call an exterminator and see what they can do or recommend. I had Orkin coming to my house every month and my Orkin man (God rest his soul) was so wonderful-even came on Saturdays to help me battle the mice. Anyway, he recommended a product called something like Nature's Cure or Nature's Solution. The name escapes me right now, dang it. It is supposed to get rid of the smell. I never bought one-the smell went away after a few days so I never had to get one, but you're right-they do reeeeeeek when they're ripe!!!!!

Or try a cleaning supply company-they might have something too.

Thanks for the replies and advice, it's not so bad in here tonight. With 4 cats in the house the mice don't come out too often, downside is they're hard to get rid of behind the walls! :confused3

You poor thing! Believe me, I know how you feel. The same thing happened to us, but it died in the wall of our bedroom closet! At first I tried to blame the smell on my poor husband's smelly shoes. Poor guy, he always gets blamed for the smells! :teeth: Don't worry, the smell only lasts a couple of days! :thumbsup2

We had a squirrel die in our attic over our old storage unit, and the smell was so bad the DH had to cut out the whole ceiling, insulation, etc... GROSS.

DH had to put up a whole new ceiling (Drywall) which was about a 4 foot by 6 foot job. It took him a few weekend days to do it.

Honestly, do you know "where" in the wall it died? If you can only cut out a small piece of the wall and then re-drywall it, it's not too awful of a task.

If you don't know where it is then that could be a lot more work. An exterminator may help, however I don't imagine they'd be able to magically get it our without taking out part of the wall.

I feel your pain - good luck!
