Now honestly was Mission Space really that bad? I'm not saying any names (my mother) but she made a really big deal about it when we went last August. She claims she got off feeling queezy and she'll never do it again. I rode it with her and I didn't think it was that bad. I'm posting this thread because I just wanted people's opinion on 1. How did you HONESTLY like the ride......... and 2. Should we get our family(first-timers) on it when they join us in June? Thanks Alot!

I followed the instructions and looked strait ahead at the screen...had no problems. I did notice a slight pressure on my chest during "takeoff", but nothing that I would consider uncomfortable. I think that some individuals are more inclined to become dizzy and/or sick to their stomachs on rides like this, especially those with inner ear issues. I suppose it all depends on the person.::MinnieMo

Yes it all depends on the person and so for those with no problems if you rode it and felt fine, great, but Do Not Think that everyone else's experience is like yours.
I literally almost died on that ride. I was very lucky that I didn't, I was incapacitated for Several hours afterward.
I really hate to see people who had no problem urging those who have concerns to "try it" You don't know others physical limitations or problems.
What is this ride really worth to someone? stroke? heart attack, even being sick as a dog for several hours of your vacation?\
I know that many people go on it and have No problem, but many do have problems, from minor to major and just urging reckless abandon is not good advice.

I enjoyed it, but felt a bit light headed for an hour or two afterwards. I have only experienced M:S one time. I will try one more time, but if I get that light headed thing again, I will be a retired astronaut:D

UT OH! I get sick on bodywars for about a hour or so. Stomach feels queazy. Should I try to go on it? HELP!

Punky'smom....I too, can't do Body Wars, but I did try M:S. I think the only thing that kept me from throwing up was concentrating on the screen, the dramamine and the cool air that they pump right in your face. That and talking to myself. After we got off, I had to go outside and sit while DH looked through the gift shop. I would say I was a bit "off" for a few hours after. Am I glad I tried it, yes. Will I do it again, NO! We are going back in December and both DS are asking to ride. I just dunno if I'll let them. DSConnor is a dare devil and could probably handle it. DSColton, is more apprehensive and I don't think he would do so well. Heck, he'll ride RnR but not ToT or Space Mnt! Go figure. Anyway, as long as you know there might be consiquences to the ride, and are willing to work through them when you get off, I say go for it, give it a try. Ya never know how you'll do until you try! If you don't like it, you don't have to go back on!

I didn't think it was a big deal at all, and even joked about how overly cautious Disney was being in all their warnings after we rode, but then I came here and realized that some people really did struggle with it!

I thought they were overreacting (Disney).

So I guess it does depend on the person. None of us had a problem in the world and loved the ride.

I thought it was no big deal but my wife acted like a big huge wuss. Like it was the scariest ride ever. She rides roller coasters but always is a big chicken when she is on it.

I rode it twice on Friday, and had no problems. I looked straight at the screen the whole time. But I can see where some people could get dizzy. It was a great ride if you are not prone to motion sickness.

I got motion sickness on Body Wars and felt terrible the whole day I rode it! I rode MS with no problems at all!

My oldest daughter can ride anything and never be bothered. She was worried about me. I hooted and laughed throught the whole expereince and she was a quiet as a mouse. We climbed out and she was not sick to her stomach but she was dizzy and had to sit for about 5 minutes, then she was fine.

I guess you just cannot predict who it might bother. If you care concerned I would suggest you get a fast pass to ride it later in the day and if you do not feel well you have not spoiled the whole day and if you ride it and like it you will finish your day off with an exciting expereince!
