Help me with these #'s for the kids free package?

Ok I am not sure if this is right or not?
but this was my plan A :

All stars hope for code of $60 for 6 nights + $360 ($462 with no code)
and 5 day hopper 2 adult and 2 kids $860 that is a total of $1220 with code and $1322 with no code.
So i was thinking plan B:
kid free package for 4 nites and 5 days is $ 976.00 and add one night before and after the package on travel days just hotel only. at $ 60 (code) or $77 each is $1096 with code and or $1130 without code. So either way i am getting a hotel for 6 nights and passes for 5 days. and i am saving $124-$192! So here is what i am wanting to know. Can this be done? I know i have heard that you can have your UPH start later than your arrival day but will this work if i have a package? We don't NEED to go to parks on those travel days and it will save us $ either way. Also what are the pros and cons of a package? never booked one before. Cancellation rules and stuff? Any advice?

Lisa I I'm pretty sure you can add on a room only day at the beginning and end of your trip but you will have 3 separate ressies and you may have to change rooms. Post this question on the resorts board, you may get more answers.

We just did this with the FTP...checked in 9-25 (room only) then 9-26 thru 10-4 had the pkg. Then room only on 10-4, we had three reservations and had to check in and out three times, but when I did reservations, we asked not to have to change rooms! Easy!

We added a day only before the package starts for $103 at the Pop Century during peak season. Thankfully, our package start the next day which is regular season rates.


If you have a AAA card, make sure you ask for that rate (unless of course a better code comes out!)
