Help me with something special for DH

That would even surprise me! :lmao:

 He probably would like that. Not sure I've seen that around, but he got his father chocolate covered potato chips.

That would be awesome if we were going alone. I can see my description of "relaxing" would lead you to believe that there wouldn't be three kids there, but there will be. :upsidedow I just intend to spend more down time than our usual commando style park touring.

We're near Chicago. I'll look into that! Thanks!

Is there more you can do with that than laptops? I'm behind the times on technology.

LOTS of great ideas there! I'll have to find out if I can find a sports package like that! He doesn't hang out with buddies usually, but I'm sure he can find someone to go with.

Already on the way! ;)

Thanks everyone for so many awesome ideas! I'm going to do a little internet research here and then possibly head out to the stores again. Thanks so much!

Here is the Chicago Bulls link it is $140 for 3 games per ticket so it would be $280 for a set of 2 for 3 games.

Day after Christmas the 26th he could go see the Bears and the Jets. Great teams to watch.

They have $93 tickets still available.

Oh boy! If you do this daddy's Christmas present maybe a new little baby! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I missed her stork sign in her signature!
LOL! Thanks bigmama67!
Congrats on your newest in the making! ♥♥♥♥♥
Only 132 days to go! :cheer2:

Thanks again for all the great ideas! The sports tickets were a little more than I wanted to spend. He's more of a family man anyway, so you all inspired me to get the family involved. (BTW, cool to know about all the Chicago museums for $75. I'll pass info on to DH.) I decided to have a themed party night in late January where I do the cooking and the kids decorate and provide music and entertainment. It will be a Mexican Fiesta (easy and everyone likes the food.) I'm calling it "Living la Peanut Loca" because that's what my kids sing when they hear the Living the Vida Loca song in Shrek. I got some Corona, various mexican specialty items, decorations, and sombreros and put them in a big gift bag with a party invitation. I'll figure out the menu later. It should be a surprise and a fun night in the middle of winter.

Sorry, I guess I did see relaxing..what was I thinking. I have kids too :confused3 :rotfl:

I LOVE the Richard Petty idea. I think I may do this for my dh when we go to Disney in July for 4 nights before our cruise. I am trying to stay out of the parks so this may waste some time and then we'll go out to eat with the rest of the family that night.
Thanks to the poster that suggested Richard Petty.

If he is into hockey, you may want to try for some Chicago Wolves tickets. They play at the Allstate and are very reasonable!! Now if you want to go for Blackhawk tickets, you may have to sell your firstborn!! LOL.

Probably a bit late now, but what about a Flip style camcorder? Then he can video family stuff, stuff he does with the kids, and maybe even work some movie making into his homeschooling lessons. :) I teach 7th grade and my students LOVE making movies. I'm sure Dad and kids would have a ball making films for you!

Used some of these good ideas to go online and just printed off 2 tix for DH and DS11 to go to a UT Vols basketball game on New Years Eve Day...they will love it and I was at a total loss for what last special thing to do for both of them! They are both hard to buy for, but LOVE sports!!! DD8 and I will probably go to a movie we've been dying to see that they would hate!

I got my DH the Richard Petty thing for his 30th last year - he absolutely loved it!!!! Talked about it for months after!!!! And just so you know, its not a full day thing, we had the 8am track time, we were out of there before 11 (then went and had lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe - another favorite). He had a huge grin the rest of the day though! :thumbsup2

Thank you very much! Did he ride by himself? I have to look into it but that is what I would like him to do, or at least, be able to drive by himself.
I will be able to get a little discount with DVC but either way it is expensive but only hear good things about it.
We will be at Disney with my 2 kids, 17 and 13, my mom, my sister, her dh and their 3 kids all under 7 before our cruise.
Thanks for the feedback!
