OKAY! So i am in the process of planning for 4 other adults and myself to go to WDW in Jan! I am trying to make a list of things for the other not so disney-savvy people to bring that maybe they wouldn't have thought of. Here is the list so far, any other suggestions would be awesome. Just remember I[m trying to keep it simple since they aren't hardcore Disney-ers I just want to make the trip a little easier for them! Thanks!

Things to pack / bring with you to WDW
Plastic zip top baggies: gallon and quart size
(You will put everything in these!)

A backpack with as few pockets as possible
(They do a security check as you enter all the parks so to make it easier fewer pockets are better and keeping all your stuff in clear plastic baggies makes it even easier)

An outlet splitter
(If you plan to have more than 2 things to charge, i.e. phones/cameras then get a cheap one as there is usually only one accessible outlet in the rooms)

Coffee or tea bags
(You can always boil water in the coffee maker in the room for tea)

Powdered drink mix singles
(we will be getting the refillable mugs {$11.99 each} and u can always fill them with water when we are out in the parks and pop one of those drink mixes in there for instant beverage)

Anti bacterial hand wipes

Band aids or blister band aids

Neosporin

Tylenol or whatever headache pills u use

Any other pills, like antacids or vitamins

Any prescription medications
(I bought a small travel pill box and stuck a few of each pill in it and labeled it so as not to have to carry 6 bottles of stuff)

Extra batteries (they cost an arm and a leg in Disney)

Gum or Candy (you CAN NOT buy gum in Disney and candy is expensive)

2 pairs of shoes (switching between them makes it nicer for your feetsies)

Toiletries (they give u crapy shampoo and some soap but that’s it!, travel size are better so you can throw them away at the end of the trip for less to carry home)

An extra bag of some kind (like a laundry bag type deal)
(If you go over weight at the airport when u leave it helps to have something to quick throw stuff into to carry on with you otherwise it’s a $25.00 charge)

HI KatGarcia! It is so nice of you to help you friends! Your list looks good, but don't forget the camera and extra film! Also, you may want to have them pick up a rain poncho or two from the dollar store (you know the kind that comes wrapped in a tiny package). I hope you have a great trip!:goodvibes

I love the outlet splitter idea, never thought of that one! We've just had things plugged in all over the place and I always worry about forgetting one.

Other suggestion: blister block stick, great to prevent blisters on feet or to prevent chafing. I bought a travel size one at Target, kept it in my fanny pack in case anyone had issues thru the day.

Have fun!

Try out the outlet splitter before bringing it, or better yet before buying it. An extension cord (many end in outlet splitters) with a splitter with outlets (receptacles) on both sides may work better given that many chargers and devices have large blocky plugs that won't fit side by side (there's a transformer inside).

I totally forgot to mention that i am making a gift bag/ xmas present for each of the other 3 people going with DH & I! I already got them ponchos and plan to put a travel toiletry set and a laundry bag in each along with a shirt or some other disney item for them yo wear on the trip!

I just found out about the blister sticks recently and I am SO getting one! It sounds like the best invention ever! :)

Thanks so much for the help everyone...keep those suggestions comin!!!

Even though you want to "keep it simple," I've found that these are things that are really handy:

Sunscreen
Battery charger for camera
Charger for cell phone
Power Strip (for charging everything)
Moleskin
Bodyglide
Emergency ponchos (the little ones from Target that fit into a pocket)
Sunglasses
Hat
OTC medications like Tylenol, Pepto Bismal
Prescription meds
Extra pair of contacts
Misty mates/spray fans
Bandanas to soak in ice water (to put around neck)
Insect repellent
Cortaid (for bug bites)
Extra shoes (that are really well broken-in)
Small umbrella
Hand sanitizer/wet wipes
List of ADRs, hotel confirmation info, phone numbers (hotel, town car service)
Digital camera and extra memory card
Cell phone (helps a lot if your group splits up)

I go with three other women every other year, and we have a great time. Have fun!
