Hey...My boyfriend and I have started picking out engagement rings and I've narrowed it down to two. Let me know what you guys think... I'm completely 50/50 on each. Give me your honest opinions. Both are going to have princess cut diamonds instead of round center diamonds.

I really like #1-it's softer &...I don't know, it's just the one that really stood out to me.

They are both gorgeous though!!

Why don't you have DBF pick it out?? That way there is still an element of surprise to your e-ring?

One thing to compare with is the way the side stones are set. Looks like #2 is channel set. Having to replace prongs gets spendy -- very spendy. So when I looked for a new setting a few years back I went with channel settings for the side diamonds and let me see near 14 years later have only had to have the center stone retipped once.

Both sets are beautiful. I would be happy to have either one :).

Grats in engagement :)

I agree with Indybride let your DB pick it out, so that you can have a suprise and it gives him a little something to still brag about ;)

They're both unique and beautiful -- but I'd pick #1... I like the triple diamonds on the sides... :goodvibes Cute idea to let DBF pick...:thumbsup2 But remember, you're the one who has to wear it forever... :confused3

I told him to just pick it...The only thing is it doesnt come with a center caret and there is a huge price difference depending which ring i choose because one ring can go down to a 1/2 caret center stone and one can only go down to about a 3/4 - 1 caret diamond. I'm really just going to let him choose but he'd rather me tell him which one.

I would pick one...baggets fall out,I had an experience with my first engagement ring..Tim bought it at Helberg diamonds,I hate that place, anyway when we went to get it sized after I got it back a day later I looked down on my hand and I was missing diamonds lol...we took the ring back and returned it and went and got another one made from our town jeweler who we trust 100%.

So I personally stay away from baggets...I blame Helzberg for them falling out but I have heard other people say that they fall out.

I like the first one more, but if you are going to have a princess cut, the second might look better.

That's what I'm thinking...I really like the first one more when I look at the pictures but when I had them on in person it was really tough to decide which one I liked better. And when I had #2 on, the only thing that bothered me was that the center diamond was round. I really do think with the princess cut it would look like a totally different ring. I had originally gone in the store knowing exactly what ring I wanted and had picked out from their website and when I saw it I was immediately disappointed. It looked so much different then it's picture and actually looked kind of fake on my finger. So that's what led me to find these two. :lovestruc

It looks like I'm in the minority, but I really like #2, especially if you're going with princess cut for the center stone. I might be kind of partial to it because it looks really similar to mine, though. :goodvibes

I do agree that having your BF choose between the two might be a good idea!

Thank you mbrooks that seems to be the one that I'm going with. I do really think the princess cut will make all the difference. If you happen to have a pic of yours would you mind posting?

I've never really been able to get a good picture of my ring :confused3 , but here's one that kind of shows what it looks like:

This ring looks really similar to mine, but the baguettes and round diamonds are switched.

I believe he went with option number 2! Now I just have to wait to get it (I have no idea when he is "officially" asking. Hopefully he'll do it while were in Disney! How wonderful would that be?:mickeyjum
