Last trip my dd (then 2) and I got to spend a whole day together while dh took our older boys to TL... we had a GREAT time! We went to PSB in EPCOT, then did all the stuff a 2 yr old girl loves to do WITHOUT her brothers complaining! (Went to see Ariel, rode all the "kiddie" rides and the carousel, etc.)

This trip (she's now 4) we're doing it again while DH takes the boys to DQ! (Better him than me, I get a headache just thinking about wall to wall virtual gaming....) But what to do?!? We will already have dined at CRT earlier in the week. I do, however, have a ressie for 2 at CRT on the mom/dd day, simply becasue I was afraid that if the other CRT diners on my ressie (my sister, her 2 dds) had to back out for any reason, I could cancel that ressie and still be sure my dd got her day in the Castle! But CRT twice in one trip? Seems like overkill. And I'm not sure I would want PSB again, though I suppose that's an option.

We could do a park day again (maybe go to Belle's story time -- haven't done that -- and see Ariel again, do the stuff her brothers would gag over?) Or what about something else, or another park? Thought about taking her to a Pooh b'fast (she loves Piglet) -- which is better, 1900 or CP? Or maybe a lunch instead, at CP? Or maybe not a park at all...but what? Thought about great Adventures in cooking.. she would love that, She will already have done the pirate cruise that week. I may be too late, though -- I'm already at 60 days and counting for the data in question. I made those pirate ressies right at the 90 day mark, like the rest of my ressies.

Truth is, I've been so busy planning this trip (3 families, 13 people, and I'm their only planner...) that I've left this one very special day behind! HELP! I want this to be another great memory -- last trip was just awesome and dd still talks about it!

IDEAS??!?!?<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/346.gif' alt='A-ha!' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_5_25.gif' alt='Light Bulb 2' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_20_39.gif' alt='I&#039;m Desperate' border=0></a>

dh and I will be splitting up for a day and each of us taking one kid and then we will meet and switch kids for the afternoon. This year, dd (4) and I will be going to the afternoon tea where I am surprising her with the Cindy's slipper dessert as well as her chocolate milk 'tea'. She's a princess for sure and I think this is right up her alley. When she goes with dh they will take in some special daddy/daughter time riding her choice of rides.

When I have other dd (2) we will probably hang out in toon town where she can run around in the little park there and see some characters. She's too young to truly care, just will be happy to have some one on one time. dh will take her swimming on his time, her favorite pastime!

Have a great time!

It's not exactly a mom/daughter activity but my 4y/o dd LOVED it when we went in May..it was the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party at 1900 Park Fare at GF it's offered m,w,f at 1:30-2:30 in the afternoon NO GROWNUPS ALLOWED!!! and they won't even let you peek in the doors they yell at you!!!(what kid doesn't like being allowed to yell at the grownups) It's mostly girls from 3-10 although there was 1 little boy the day Erin did it. They let you in to take pix of this beautifully decorated table then tell you to get lost while the girls have fun with Alice and the Mad Hatter. They decorated their own cupcakes and drink special "tea". You are given a pager and we chose to go for lunch on the banks of the lake looking at the castle. Relaxing, You return an hour later and your daughter is happy and smiling with beautiful fun memories and her own bouquet of flowers and a pic of her with Alice and Mad Hatter. It's only an hour but we will definatly do it again.:D also I made last minute ressies like maybe 2 wks out and had no problem..Hope this helpsprincess:

I vote for the "girly" stuff at MK, followed by Afternoon Tea at the GF! princess:

You know, I didn't think about combining the tea with a park -- silly me forgetting that monorail access! But would we be too hot and sweaty for a nice tea? Might be too much travelin' to go from MK to SSR(to clean up) then to GF... hmmm. What time is the GF tea? A definite idea, though! Keep 'em coming!

The tea is available from 2:00-4:30, I think. And I hadn't thought of being sweaty, lol. My last two trips to Disney have been in February. We didn't get sweaty, LOL. :p

The Perfectly Princess tea party is supposed to be really good. Unfortunately, It's very pricey. It costs $200 for mom/daughter together but the girls get some really great keepsakes.

We went directly from MK via monorail to GF and silly me didn't allow for an extra long stop for what ever reason at CR so we were literally running into GF. I have the bruise to prove it from where I ran into a really big post trying to cut corners! The Alice tea was 28.00 some of the girls were dressed as Alice or had on nice party dresses. Erin and many others were dressed in shorts. We saved our dress up for the PSB and just did a nice shorts outfit for Alice. You could pack a backpack with an extra outfit, hair stuff and washcloth for a refreshing trip to the ladies room before you go in.
I also noticed and bought a Tea with Alice t shirt while she was in the tea

I'm not too sure what the age restriction is, but, why not a "first manicure" for your daughter and either a massage or other type of treatment for you aat the GF spa. If you schedule it in the morning, then you will have the rest of the day to either go to the parks or hang around the GF for tea or lunch. You can even rent one of the pontoon boats and sail around the lagoon. I did this last trip. My dd and myself had most of the day to ourselves. We went to the spa, I had a treatment and she had the manicure. After that we went to the tea. We went shopping in the gift shops at the GF, walked around the lobby and acted like "best friends" for the day. We were staying at athe GF, so, we went to the pool. We had a great time and still talk about it.

IF you decide on the treatments in the GF spa, just make sure you schedule her manicure before or after your treatment, this way, your dd stays with you in the room while you get your treatment and then you stay with her while she gets her manicure.

Here's my suggestion:
Fantasyland rides and Toontown for the morning
Character lunch w/ Pooh and friends at Crystal Palace (get the earliest seating you can).
Go back to the hotel for a swim and a rest.
In the late afternoon you could go to MGM to see Beaty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney, etc. if your boys aren't into those.

It seems like that would be enough for a 4 yo. I'm sure WHATEVER you do, she will love being with her mom all day. I don't see the need to spend a lot of extra money on the teas or anything.

I don't think the GF Afternoon Tea is too expensive, only 8.50 for the kids, and adults can order whatever they want.

Mrs. Potts Tea - For the younger tea lover in your party, we offer a variety of tea sandwiches, tuna salad, ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly on white bread. We serve our magical dark tea (chocolate milk), followed by a choice of 2 pastries $8.50 per guest

THis is actually pretty close in line with my plans (and hers, which I suppose are what really matters!) I was willing to perhaps try another grand Adventure or such, but she really wants the time with me (not the Hatter -- sorry dude). After some discussions with her today, a Pooh meal is now a definite. She had not realized that while she was at CRT with the girls, the REST of the gang was going to Pooh Bear, and there were no other plans to go there again during our trip as a family. And if Pooh Bear is a must, it seems like a park day (and park-type activities) will be the options. Definitely will spend the a.m. in MK -- so it will either be a Pooh bfast or lunch. I like the lunch idea -- she might be hungrier by then, and noon is always so BLAZIN' hot. As for park switching and swimming, etc -- now that's a thought. She did mention swimming. Maybe I'll just leave it up to her -- whatever she didn't get "enough of" during the week. Today she and I hung out all day while her brothers were at camp... all we did was watch Sleeping Beauty, paint a T-shirt, and swim at the pool. She asked if we could do that EVERY day. She's really a cheap date, when you get down to it! I cannot even FATHOM paying 200 for a tea. I'm just too practical for my own good. I keep thinking, well, with 200 dollars, could i do anything else that would come close? From the reviews I've read, I know I could. Goodness knows, you could both attend CRT (about 50 total), then send her to Alice's tea party (about 30) while you sip a latte or such (say 5?), go together to Cinderella's Gala dinner (another 50) and STILL have money left for a child's bracelet (10), crown(5), and some type of a doll, and maybe more (using the remaining $50!) I can't find the dolls mentioned on the internet to know what they otheriwse sell for, but if they are over 50 bucks and collectibles... well, I would have a big problem getting a really pricey doll like that anyway. DD would surely want to play with it, and I'd want to stick it on a shelf. What fun would THAT be from her perspective?

In any case -- looks like I need to make some Pooh Bear ressies! Now to decide... dinner or bfast? WHich is better? Will I be really sorry if I miss my chance ot try b'fast lasagna? Or is the lunch (and the A/C during the lunch time hours!) enough to compensate?

THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL!

That is so cute - and so true!! That's why I'm sure no matter what you do, she'll love it.

Late breakfast, early lunch - either way would be great. We've done both. I think we did the lunch last time because we were also doing CRT for breakfast another day. Although, I LOVE breakfast foods, so going to another character breakfast would be fine with me, too!!

Have a great day (and trip)!
