I'm going crazy, I'm such a planner and there are too many contradictory reviews on Tripadvisor for me to make a firm decision about where to stay. The boards were INVALUABLE when planning my last Disney World trip so I hope you can all help.

I've made 3 reservations for the Easter Weekend and will need to cancel 2, once I decide. This will be the first budget trip I'm taking, but rooms and atmosphere are quite important to me.

So... please let me know what you would pick. We are a couple with a 7 year old daughter and will have a car to park.

Fairfield Inn by Marriott, http://www.anaheimfairfieldinn.com/
2 Queen beds, $62 Entertainment Rate

Anabella Hotel, http://www.anabellahotel.com
Queen plus daybed Junior Suite $79 plus resort fee?

Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort, http://www.hianaheimresort.com
2 Double beds, $67.48 Entertainment Rate

What about location? Are ya looking for walking distance or do ya plan to drive everyday?

Of the 3 I know the Fairfield is closest- Not 100% of the locations of the others-

Ive had mixed reviews of the Fairfield but its also been years so hopefully theyve fixed the problems:)

If I was staying at the Anabella or Fairfield I would walk it. If I stay at the Holiday Inn Resort I would try the ART shuttle or drive -- whatever is more convenient and recommended. I absolutely have to be at the park well before opening so I don't want to be completely dependent on the shuttles if they operate odd hours.

I'm not horribly worried about noise, but the room decor, beds and atmosphere are important to me. I also assume we'd probably use the pool, so initially I was leaning towards the Holiday Inn Resort (as they have true resort amenities).

Thanks for your help. :)

The Fairfield Inn is the closest and about a 5-7 minute walk to the front gates. The reviews I have read have been mixed. No one has said anything about the decore so I assume it is okay though not anything special. There have been complaints about uncomfortable eds and wind blowing in under the door jam. It looks like a fine place but has never intrigued me.
I stayed at the Annabella which is three old motels that were extensively remodeled into one large motel. They call themselves a hotel but the rooms are all with exterior corridors. It is a pretty place and my room had more ambiance than the usual place. It was comfortable and clean. I have read mixed reviews on the Anabella as well but I thought it was fine. The pool is not huge but they made a nice attempt at it being nice looking instead of being in the parkinglot. The walk from here would 10-15 minutes to the front gate or a 5 minute walk across, and down the street where you can catch one of the Disney parking trams.
I have not stayed at the New Holiday Inn as it is to far for me. I prefer to be within close walking distance. It does look like a nice place and is only a year or two old.

Thanks for the hotel info. I've now given up on those 3 all together.

I'm now booked in for the Hyatt Regency Orange for an even better price than the others I was interested in. If I get a room in their newly refurbished tower I'm sure I'll be happy there. I know it's not walking distance, but I'm sure I'll live with the free shuttle or rental car.

Thanks again.

are you sure you cant walk from the hyatt someone told me you can. im staying there in july and if i need to make other trans. arrangements i need to get crackin

I'm sure you 'could' walk, but I think it's 5 blocks from Disneyland (and I don't know how long those blocks are). The website says "less than a mile". I doubt my 7 year old daughter would enjoy that walk AFTER a day at the parks.

Click on the "Hotel Information" link -- it says they offer a complimentary shuttle.

Cheers.

I haven't stayed at the Hyatt, but have stayed at the Crowne Plaza next door. It would be quite a walk from there to the DLR. I would either stay at a closer hotel or use the transportation provided.

Did you book the Hyatt through priceline or did you book direct? Either way I would email them and request a north tower room.

I booked through Hotwire and will contact them closer to the date. I'm also a Hyatt Gold member so may be able to upgrade for a small cost. Either way, I don't want to be stuck in the South tower.
