I really just want to see the concert the night we are there. Where do we pickup wristbands? Is there an extra cost? I don't plan to do a TS meal. I also have a Disney Visa. Does that matter?

Thanks!!

If you go when things open you can go to the Chase lounge (in American pavilion enter between attraction and gift shop) and get a wrist band. These are typically gone by noon. You will get priority seating at one show and it is usually under one side of the covered portion. TS meals with an Eat to the Beat package have the other half of the covered portion. After that the standby is let in. If it is a particularly busy day and popular band (Hanson, Boys 2 Men are a few) then people dedicate their entire day to standing in line. Some people get in line exactly at 11 for the 5 o'clock show. I was always amazed at how much time people (usually APs) were willing to waste for a front row seat.

If all else fails you can hear the concert perfectly fine while sitting on the fountain in America or in the seating area outside the QS place there.

edited to correct location of lounge.

The Chase lounge in the American Adventure pavilion (not the Festival center, it hasn't been there in a couple of years) may have them. Don't know about which days. I think last year they were only for weekends. There's no extra cost to access the Chase lounge, you can gain access with any Chase card.

This year there will be blocked off seating for ETTB dinner package, Chase lounge wristbands, and fastpass. In addition, they may be giving out some wristbands for standby (haven't heard where or when you can get these)

Fastpass - right front of theater, first 6 rows
Dining Package - center rows starting with Row 7
Standby with wristbands (don't know if wristbands for standby are available every day or when - left front of theater, first 4 rows
Chase Lounge wristbands - the 2 rows behind standby wristbands (5 and 6 left front)

Not clear on how many rows are beneath the overhang, but most of the leftover seating is uncovered.

The Standby wristbands can be picked up at 1:00, 3:00, and 5:00 at the amphitheater for the corresponding shows. Wristbanded Standby guests sit in the left front and Chase wristbanded guests sit behind them in Rows 5 & 6. Chase wristbands were only given to those with Disney-branded Visa credit/debit cards.

FP now has the right front section of the amphitheater. Dining was centrally located and many complained about getting rained on during David Cook's concerts.

I'd imagine they figured the center rows but not right up front were the best seats in the house as far as the view. However, I think most concert attendees place much more value to being beneath the overhang. I have to wonder if they will change the dining package seating and if so, where they will put it.

For David Cook's 3rd show, they were seating disgruntled Dining guests in the Chase rows. Some still felt they should have been closer seeing how 4 rows of standing Standby guests were blocking their view once David began singing - he encouraged everyone to stand.

Maybe they should give Dining a choice of the front left or central seating before they allow the wristbanded Standby guests to fill in those areas... there was plenty of time to fill in the covered areas before each concert began.

Dining package is the only group that is paying for their access, so I'd think they would put them where they want to be. Sitting down front means you can't see the whole stage, so I guess they thought a few rows back would be proper as long at they got the center. Looks like dining guests are differing wtih that, at least when it is raining.

Ok, thanks. Sounds like we will try and get to the American Pavilion early.
