Help me think through this

So I booked a trip for Feb 8th - 14th - 40% off code at the Poly. Greatd eal on airfare - booked on SW.

Now DH has to be in MCO for meetings the 7th - 10th. I am fine with the kids on my own, but thinking we should stay with him where his company is putting him up. Then we can all move to the Poly on the 10th.

This only give us 4 days at Disney as a family. So I am thinking about moving our flights up to the 4th.

We could stay at Disney from the 4th - 7th. Then move w/ DH to his resort and we'd have our Disney tickets.

Not sure what to do the 10th - 14th though....

Thoughts?

It would be easier if you could work it out with his company's travel department to just let you pay the difference between the resort they want to book for him and the poly. That way you wouldn't have to move mid-trip. This would probably only work if DH has to pay for the trip then wait for reimbursement later (that's how my DH's travel expenses work).

If his company won't approve the poly you might consider the Swan or Dolphin. If he has to be at the hotel where the meeting is held I would probably stay there and move after the meeting is over.

Thanks - I had hoped to use the 0% financing for a package - we can't do that if we don't start at Disney. But you are correct - just staying at his resort first makes the most sense...

Unfortunately - we have to book through his company's travel agency and they all need to stay together. Not sure where it is yet - hoping to firm it up next week.

Thanks for the replies!

Could you go on the 7th check onto his hotel until the 10th and then extend your stay at Disney until the 16th? That gives you the same # of days at Disney but 3 extra vacation days. You and the kids could hang at the pool, go to Downtown Disney, maybe a character meal or even Sea World or Universal while DH works. Then have your time at Disney together. What hotel is the meeting at?
