Help me think through our Epcot day

FW opens at 9:00 on the day we're going (me, DH, and DD5), and Kenny the Pirate's calendar has it as the best park to visit. Our current plan is:

RD Soarin'
FP+ 9:50-10:50 at the Character Spot
FP+ 11:25-12:25 for Turtle Talk (we might skip this or not worry about the FP if it works to go earlier)

12:25: Lunch at Akershus
FP+ 3:50-4:50 for FEA

We don't have a dinner ADR because we are planning on snacking in as many countries as possible. I tried to move the FEA FP up, but there was nothing available for the whole day. We'll have a stroller for DD, but I don't want to backtrack all over the place.

Basically, I want to be reassured that making 2 trips to Norway won't be a huge pain in the butt.

Also, how long does the Pick a Pearl thing take? Is there usually a long wait for it?

Any other tips that might be useful? We aren't first-timers, but this is the first time being able to use the new FP system.

IMHO, I would think about trying to get an Akershus ADR closer to your FEA FP+. We've backtracked to accomodate an FEA FP+ before and, honestly, it's kind of a pain. Could you snack around WS for lunch and do an early dinner at Akershus?

Pick a Pearl really depends on the time of year and time of day. I've seen it packed and I've also simply walked up when no one was there. When are you going? Personally, I would try to move the Akershus ADR to around 5 pm or so, start your WS trek on the Canada side and stop in Japan early on before the crowds build. That way, you can make one loop around WS.

We are going at the end of May. I just checked, and there are no Akershus reservations for lunch or dinner that day. Bleh.

I would check closer to your trip. I bet within a few days of your day at EPCOT you will be able to change your reservation at Akershus. We were usually able to. Sometimes the day before I was able to change the reservation.
If you can't change it then maybe you can walk to the Showcase Plaza from Norway after eating and take the boat across to Morocco and start walking back to Norway and stop at Japan and do the Pick a Pearl. Our kids loved taking the boat across - even if you wait a little - they love it.

As the PP said - Pick a Pearl can be very busy or walk up. Our kids love that too. Enjoy!

I would def keep checking back to get Akershus closer to your fea fp. People cancel all the time. Set up dining alerts on touring plans or mouse dining. I notice people canceling Akershus especially for lunch the week of. I'd want to do those two things back to back.
