I don't eat sugar in my regular life. But I plan on splurging on our Disney Springs night! So, where is the absolute best, most decadent dessert to be found at Disney Springs? We're eating dinner at The Boathouse but we'll go somewhere else for dessert if it's worth it. Thanks!!

If it were me, I'd go into Amorette's and get the Opera Cake. Ever since I saw that being made on The Great British Baking Show I wanted to try it, and was happy to see they have it there.

The bread pudding at Raglan Road IS amazing. I've had it twice now and it's still one of my favorite desserts ever. We also really liked the pastries from Amorettes. Why not stop into Amorettes before dinner, pick some things out to have later, and then go somewhere for a sit-down dessert? Homecomin's desserts are supposed to be very good. I had the donuts and really liked them. (But I can't recommend going just for the donuts.) Maybe look at the DS restaurants and read the menus to see which one you'd like the most?

But definitely try to stop into Amorettes if you can. It's great if only for the choices and the beauty of the food. We got several things and loved everything.

Try the Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate shop. The sundae's there are enough to give anyone type 2 diabetes but wow they were good. Line can get seriously long and crowded at night when the place cranks up.

Cake at Splitsville! Some of the best cake I have ever had, moist and full of flavor but not ridiculously sweet. If you get it a la mode, one serving is enough for 3 or 4 people.

Too much to chose just one (and in no particular order):
-- Ghirardelli for a decadent chocolate ice cream treats topped with marvelous whipped cream. Furthest walk from Boathouse.
-- Vivoli il Gelato - some of the best (maybe the best) gelato I've ever eaten.
-- Sprinkle CupCakes - cupcakes and delicious ice cream too.
-- Amorette's - top notch pastries. We preferred the tastes of traditional to Disney-shaped items.
-- The Ganachery - excellent hand-made chocolates.

Viola gelato - go for the creama! It is their own special recipe from Florence, Italy. Simple ingredients handled properly!

Not discussed much here on the boards but I am still dreaming of the carrot cake at the Dining Room at Wolfgang Puck (the signature portion).

It was that good.

I am a fan of the Milky Way sundae at Beaches and Cream. I like the basics! But Ghirardelli's is a nice treat when not in that area.

I personally go for Haagen Dasz. Ghirardellis uses Edys ice cream which isn't premium at all and not worth it. I wish Ghir would use actual premium ice cream, because as it is we can't eat it (Edys has corn syrup in all the flavors we had a manager check, and DH and DS cannot eat that ingredient), but all of their toppings (that we had a manager check) were fine. So a nice combo would work well for us. :)

While Dreyers / Edy's / Ghirardelli brands do contain corn syrup, they Premium Ice Cream.

Haagen Daz is a Super Premium Ice cream with greater than 50% more fat & sugar than Dryers.

Another vote for Ghirardelli's sundaes, especially if you like dark chocolate they have a few sundaes with dark chocolate hot fudge they are the best. The person who posted about Homecoming though was totally right, we ate dinner there and the Hummingbird cake was amazing. My son had the pie which at the time was pecan, apparently it was great too because he ate the whole thing himself and it was a nice size and I think came with ice cream (three of us shared the Hummingbird Cake, which definitely came with ice cream, and barely finished).

Homecoming for desserts and The Ganachery for chocolates

Bread and butter pudding at Raglan Road is great. I haven't been much since all the new places opened though! Sounds like I have lots of new desserts to try! Personally Ghirardelli is passable for me. Like others mentioned, it's Edy's ice cream, and while the toppings are good, I feel for the price I'd rather just buy the stuff and make it at home (several times for the price of one).
I've heard the crepes are pretty good but haven't gotten to try one yet.

Shula's Chocolate Souffle? Monsieur Paul's Desserts? +1 for anything/everything Amorette's

Homecoming for desserts and The Ganachery for chocolates
THIS!!!!! The hummingbird cake at Homecoming is delicious and we cannot make a trip to DS without a stop by the Ganachery. Some of the best chocolate I have ever had. You can always take the chocolate back to the room for a late night snack.

My DH and I split something from Ghirardelli's quite often. I will warn you that the portions are extremely large, my DH and I always have a bit left over and still feel stuffed!! If you don't eat sugar very often be prepared for a serious sugar coma!!
