We are heading back to Disney in March (I know busy time but I am an Educator and this is our Spring Break). I was telling Hubby how nice it will be to finally get to be on some rides together as the kids can sit with each other. He said no, our youngest is only 7 and will have to be accompanied by DH, Myself or our 14 year old to ride. I said no he IS 7 and therefore can ride with any of his siblings. Our kids are 14, 12, 10 and 7......who's right? Please say its me..::yes::::yes::

You are correct! When our ODD turned 7, we were about to get on Mr Toad's Wild Ride and the CM said that ODD could ride by herself since she was 7 and 7 is the minimum age for riding without a parent.

You are right. The 7 year old can even enter ride queues on their own and ride a lone if you wish to let them.

You are right! 7 is the minimum age. My daughter rode the teacups by herself at 7.

Because it hasn't been said before, you are right. :)

My 7 yo even commented on the signs that state that policy, and also that she didn't want to go on any rides alone LOL

When are you going in March? I'm sort of aiming for the first or second weekend at the moment.

7 to ride but they can not enter the park gates without someone over 14 if I remember the new rule correctly...so that is what he may be thinking.

Explain that and let him be partially right!

DS had started riding things alone at 6.5 at universal Orlando because it's height based there. Our next Disneyland trip was once he was 7+. He started by going through the line for the little coaster in toontown (we sat outside and watched his behavior through the whole line to make sure he wasn't one of those awful kids). After he got practice with that, when we were comfy with any given ride, he could go alone or, more importantly, use the single rider line. Which is why our family has never once used a FP or gone through the normal line for RSR. :)
