Help me settle a debate with DH about dining plan

We're going to the World on a Monday and checking out on a Friday. We have 5 day park tickets. If we do the dining plan, will we have to pay OOP for food on Friday or will the dining plan still be in affect?

Assuming you are on the basic dining plan, you will get 5 TS meals, 5 CS meals, and 5 snacks per person for your stay (one for each night).

It depends on what you use through the week as to how many you will have left when Friday arrives. If you don't use any on Monday (are you arriving early in the day or late?) then you may have a meal left for departure day. It really depends on what you use.

See, I'm still confused. We will be spending 4 nights in hotel, 5 days in park.

The dining plan is based on the number of nights you stay. So with a four night stay you will get 4 snacks, 4 counter service and 4 table service credits for your stay. These credits expire at midnight on the day you check out. There will be a day when you will have to pay for food out of pocket, but that day depends on how you use your credits as you are free to use them any of the five days you are there. You receive all credit entitlements when you check in. These credit entitlements will not expire until midnight on the day you check out. So, you have from check in until midnight of the day you check out to use all your credits.

Thanks! So I lost the bet with DH, but thats ok! I still think the dining plan will be a good idea for us and since we're going in Sept, we may get it free!

and do as we do - get a large CS meal and split it!! That way you can get some breakfast items as well -

For instance we get the Big Breakfast meal at our resort - and split it - we have the refillable mugs for coffee/tea but breakfast comes with 2DRINKS!! So we get a water to go and maybe an OJ or grapefruit juice... and dh and I split this meal -

in the parks for lunch we'll get a large meal (the largest is at Cosmic Rays in MK the chicken and rib combo!!) I'll ask for the glass of ice and a large soda no ice - and we share this meal!!

the ddp is a lot of food!!
