Help me purchase DVC!

If you aren't comfortable with those prices look at the many resale sites where you can find it for a little less. Educate yourself by reading through the threads on this board, there are many.

Buy a resale contract for a lot less rather than buying direct from Disney.

There are about 5-10 sites you can use for resale, can’t list them here but if you do a Google search for DVC resale you’ll see them come up. I was in your same predicament 2 months ago and now I’m closing on a BWV contract I bought for $133 pp, BCV I believe sells for about $150, if you’re not set on BCV and are mostly interested in the location BWV is the better buy (better price, good point charts, slightly closer to HS, and close to all the Boardwalk amenities)

Buy resale or go with RIV direct. We bought BWV resale to start and then bought a majority of our points (after selling some BWV resale) at Riviera because of discounting we got at the time of purchase.

Honestly RIV is my favorite and BWV is my second favorite resorts at WDW. Beach Club is nice but is basically stuck back in a corner but does have the best pool on property.

I'll throw you another option: Buy SSR direct. Yes, I know it's not within walking distance of Epcot, but you'll save a minimum of $80 a point direct, and you're only 8 minutes away by bus to Epcot.

But if you do go with BW or BC, I echo the same suggestion as others on here, and that is to buy resale.

I'm going to say that if your preference is BWV or BCV then buy one of them, especially if you want to mostly stay in studios or 2BR's. If a 1BR is your goal then you could possibly be ok owning somewhere else but depends on the time of year you want to travel and your flexibility.

Personally I find RIV resale restrictions too much to consider that as an option if you don't want to stay there the majority of the time.

BCV and BWV are $245 and $210 direct respectively. Still very high. Resale is the only way to go on these, especially with no clarity right now with what will happen beyond January 2042.

There are several sites and they vary in cost per point. I bought BCV last year via Fidelity resale and saved $100/pt compared to paying direct. Here are some sites to get you started:

I agree you should go with resale and you can’t go wrong with either. You’ll definitely get BWV cheaper and BWV’s point chart is incredible, especially if you can get a standard studio. Standard studios at BWV and studios at BCV are both very difficult to get at 7 months, so if you favor one over the other, I would suggest buying where you’d prefer to stay.

Both make little sense direct, resale is the only way in my opinion
