ok...so me and a group of friends have decided to go to WDW (albeit in 2010, but booking in 2009)

We are planning to go for the last few days of march but the majority of our stay will be in april.

Our budget for our resort and flights is £1000. There are four of us so we will only need one room and I was just wondering what is the best resort we can get for that money, at that time?

I'm assuming a value resort but do you think we may be able to stretch to a moderate resort? Also, what resort would you recommend staying at for our budget?

And the last thing is...would you recommend booking with expedia? According to my research they provide the cheapest trip but I have a feeling of untrust because they're not really a travel agent.

PLEASE HELP!
any tips would be useful.

Welcome to the boards, you may find your budget goes farther if you stay off site. You can stay off site and us the International Drive trolley service if you don't want to drive yourselves. We have been with Travel City Direct several times and we have never had any major problems with them. You trip is still a long way off so you will have plenty off time to check out all your options.

Best of luck and most of all have fun planning.

Are you going for 2 weeks? If so then you can rule staying on-site out,a quick search for this year end mar/beginning apr All Star Sports £1108 & CBR £1432 & bearing in mind Disney increase their prices on average of 5% each Jan.I'll be totally honest I don't see 4 of you going for £1000,First Choice are quoting £600/adult for the Comfort Inn IDrive. To stand any chance you would have to be ultra flexible on dates & hotel.Sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for
SD:thumbsup2

I can't imagine you will be able to stay onsite for £1000 and defintely not moderate. You will have to just keep searching around until you find the best deal. Ive used Expedia loads of times and have never had a problem. Good luck with your search :goodvibes

Edit

Ive just had a look on the Virgin Holidays site and next March/April you can stay at a value onsite for about £1000 which would include Virgin flights and room.

Please don't use expedia, i found out purely by chance that i had no notle room 7 days before my flight even though i booked 9 moths in advance and had paid in full. They were very unhelpful in correcting their mistake, i dread to think what would have happened if i had just turned up.

i don't think that budget is totally out of reach but it would have to be a value. I priced up the last week of august and if i fly with united via washington with a stay at Pop Century, with park tickets it comes in at £990, however this is for one week and not two. You are touching on the border of the end of school holiday season with your dates and I wonder if this will push flight prices a little higher.

Hmmm, i reckon its doable if you are willing to stay value and possibly use indirect flights. good luck:thumbsup2
