Help me plan...

My daughter is a huge Harry Potter fan and wants to go to Universal for her graduation trip next summer. Is the expansion suppose to be open by then? Is there a predicted date? If so I am imagining it will be packed. OK I know it will be. Should I book my on-site hotel now? If there is an existing thread addressing this please direct me. Thanks guys!!!!

i'm guessing that next mid to late june parry hotter 2 will be operating.


this is just a guess based on next year's power pass blackout dates.


only July 2013 is blacked out for power pass holders.
next year it has a longer summer time period blacked out for power passers.

power pass is the cheaper annual pass that allows the holders entrance to the park anytime except in black out periods.

during high crowded periods, the power pass is not eligible for park admission.


since the dates show for 2014 that much of the early summer to late summer is blocked, i am assuming that is because parry hotter 2 will be open.

you asked when is that new feature going to be open, so that is why i guesed sometime in june.

you can book a room now at rack rates.
if discounts come out later next year, you can call and modify your room rate to reflect it.
if it is too far out to book 12 months in advance, then ask the TM when will the hotel rates be in the system so they can be booked.

i don't see hugh room discounts for next summer as when a new ride opens, everyone comes to the parks.


if you plan to do the darkside/uo parks next july, staying onsite would be recommended.
