Who amongst you loves to help people plan their attack on Disney?

I need your help if you are an OCD planner

I need a plan of attack for a 1 week stay for someone who gets overwhelmed and easily tired.

Dates - Oct 8th-15th

driving down to FLA from VA

want to do 2 MNSSHP
1 day DHS
1 day AK

and somehow fit it 1 night in DTD and eat maybe at T-Rex

how would you say it would be LEAST stressful on someone who tends to be cranky pants if they do not feel rested or if their body hurts but they INSIST on not having a scooter annnnnd doing everything as a group?

maybe helpful info -- we will drive friday night from VA on the 7th and be there on the 8th early am and needing some rest that day im sure .. pool day !!

Thanks in advance ... any questions you need answered that may help you help me, please ask.

and before you ask, ive am bringing this person with me because of her dd 9 who wants to take a trip with me and my dd 9 .. her mother is a dear dear friend of mine, its just, ive got to work around her "issues" and i know this, and make myself understand them for the sake of our otherwise terriffic friendship minus the travel part ha ha

If you hadn't mentioned this part, I'd swear you were traveling with my father!:headache:

A few things, I am going to assume that you have park hoppers, if you don't my plan would change, and I'm not sure if you're staying onsite, but I assumed so. Also I would not even worry a second about being there for rope drops. I wouldn't mess around all morning, but I wouldn't push anyone out the door to get there ASAP either. We always get there about 15 min after rope drop and the crowd has dispersed a little bit and you can still walk right onto most rides. Also I don't know how many times you've been to WDW or what kind of rides you all like, so I just made a plan. I'm sure you'll need to tweak it for you.

If it were me I would do this...

8th - take it easy. I'm not sure you'll be coming in but I would make this day a hotel day. If you get in early enough I would suggest heading to DTD and eating at T-rex if you'd like. DTD is a great way to ease into WDW IMO!

9th - Morning head to MK, straight over to TL and ride everything over there you want to. If Space Mt is on your agenda do this first! Ride race cars, and then over to fanstasyland. Grab FP for Winnie the Pooh if the line is over 30 min and ride tea cups, Dumbo, Snow White, carousel, and take a look around shops. Ride Peter pan, and small world, then head over to Haunted Mansion. After this ride grab a quick lunch and start heading out, walk through the castle and enjoy mainstreet. Take a mid day break at your hotel, let whoever needs to take a nap, swim, watch some tv, or just rest up.

Around 4 or so head back into the parks. We usually go to Epcot for the evening of our first full day. At Epcot, first see if there are any FP left for either Test Track or Mission Space (iffy), if so have one person go over and get them, otherwise don't worry about it. Ride Space Ship Earth, go to Nemo, the land ride (not Soarin', not today anyway). Grab some dinner at either the Land food court or Electric Umbrella. Ride Imagination, and explore Innovations. Visit the Coke station if you need a quick drink break somewhere in there (For free no less!), the ice cream place right next to it is very good as well. I would head back to the hotel after this, you have plenty of time to see WS and Illuminations later in your trip

10th -AK in the morning. AK is much more spreadout so rides aren't that close together, ie a lot more walking. Just a heads up. First get to Everest first if you'd like to ride this. Catch the Nemo show, and head over to Dinoland if you need something to fill the time until it starts. Head over to the Safari ride and get FP if needed. Grab some lunch and do any other rides you'd like to. We really don't spend too much time at AK, a half day at most, and I've already touched on what we do. Maybe others can help you more with this park
Again take a mid day break and in the evening head to MK for MNSSHP.

11th- MK in the morning, ride Thunder Mtn RR and Splash Mt, Pirates of the Caribbean, Aladdin, and any other favorites. Grab a quick lunch and head out, and do some shopping on your way out. This would also be a good day to see a parade if you plan to.
In the evening I would head to Epcot WS have a nice TS dinner and see Illumnations.

12th - Go to HS in the morning, head right over to Toy Story first, get FP if the line is already long. Ride Great Movie Ride and Back Lot tour, let the kids play in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, see the Muppets and Star Wars. Star Wars is now being redone, when it reopens there might be a longer line then in the past so you might need a FP here, I'm not sure. Grab some lunch and then head over to TOT and Rockin Roller coaster. Whichever line is shorter ride that while you get a FP for the other. See the Ariel show if you'd like and then make your way out of the park.
I would spend this evening at your hotel and rest up.

13th- I would go to Epcot in the morning, and get Soaring FP, ride Test Track and Misson Space if you were able to earlier, and any other favorites. Shop at Mousegears, and then head over to the WS. (WS doesn't open until 11am FYI). Mid day break time!
Evening head to MK for MNSSHP

14th - I would save this day to go back to your favorite park. And in the evening make sure you go see the Wishes fireworks. It is awesome and it is a fabulous way to end your trip.

15th- another easy day. Maybe schedule a nice TS breakfast before you leave.

HTH!
