Wondering if anyone wants to offer sone suggestions for foods for me to eat at DL. I am not picky, but I don’t eat 4 legged things and I have allergies that mean I can’t have tree nuts (coconut is ok) or pretty much fruits. I can eat citrus and melon, but no berries, no apples, peaches, pineapple, cherries, etc.
I know some places can leave stuff off, but not all.

***I didn't mean to sound like I was worried about what I was going to eat, because I am not, I know I will be well fed and fortified!
I am just a super planner and like to know each day "okay we're going to eat here and then we're going to eat here and this is what I will have." I plan on using mobile order as much as possible so that is one of the reasons I wanted to kind of know ahead of time what foods I could eat and what foods I could not eat. I also don't want to get home and read about some fantastic food on this board that I missed like the items at the troubadour tavern that never even occurred to me that I would be able to eat!***

Besides the cheese “dog” and baked potato at TT, what are some other foods I should try? I will be there 5 days and we have 2 sit down meals, LLL and Carthay. At Carthay it looks like I’ll be eating an appetizer since there is only one main I could eat, and the apps just look better.

What would you all recommend at avengers campus besides the Choco Smash, because I am totally ordering that and bringing ziplocs to save what i don't finish.

I haven’t been to DL since 2015, but I have been to WDW.
And please tell me they still have cream cheese pretzels, I love those things!

What all do you suggest so I don‘t just eat ice cream 8 meals!

Is there some problem with eating ice cream for eight meals?? 😁 I hope you get to Ghirardelli at least once!

How about Bengal BBQ? They've got veggie skewers, rice, and also hummus dip with veggies.

I've heard the Ronto-less wrap in Galaxys' Edge is good. I don't know how you feel about impossible meats, but that might be a win.

I also second @irlandaise about Bengal BBQ. They have great veggie options. And the food is generally consistently good.

I'm not much with options off the top of my head (I'm finicky, but I do eat meat and don't have any major food allergies). But I do know there are lots of options around the park. If you have a good hour to kill, I recommend just taking a look at menus everywhere and making a note on your phone or somewhere else of what options look viable for you. That way you have it at the ready while you're there. (I do this even without allergies! Just so I have a handy list of things I want to try when I start feeling hungry!)

Well, I do plan on eating ice cream, just thought I would need some actual food since I rope drop to close and need to keep my energy up! Will not miss Ghirardelli, I assure you!

I do love Bengal BBQ, will definitely eat there once.

Oh, I have looked, that is why I was hoping for some personal suggestions. Since it has been so long since I have been I was wondering if anyone had any places they would recommend. I always loved Jolly Holiday but is it still good?

Troubador Tavern wasn't even on my radar until a recent thread, but now I know I want to give them a try.

I have to find out what impossible meat they actually serve at ronto roasters because one of them has Apple in it. I can't remember which one it is, I just have always avoided them both. Super bummed they don't have a veg option of the ronto roaster, I had it twice in WDW, it was made with zucchini and it was perfection.

I don't want to get home and read about some tasty items I totally wrote off.

What meat items would you recommend? My husband is going to be eating with me and when we go out he always orders meat since I don't cook it. If it has bacon all the better! N

Are animals with two legs okay? The Serengeti Stew at Troubadour Tavern is so yummy. It has chicken. Also the sambusa is really good, it’s potatoes and peas but does have a mango chutney on the side.

Yes indeed. I eat turkey, chicken and animals with no legs. 😀
Noted about sambusa and stew, glad to know the chutney is on the side. That is one of the hardest things about the online menus is telling which items are integral to the dish and already in and which items are just on the side so I can just have them not serve it to me. I will definitely add those to my eating list!

So far I have
Cheese Dog
Ghirardelli
Jack Jack Nom Nom Cookie
Sambusas at TT
Bengal Bbq
Veg Ronto Roaster (just looked at ingredients, Impossible sausage is ok. It is Beyond that use apples). Still wish I could get one with zucchini!

Thanks for the info about the Sambusas. Those looked so yummy to me!

I always love the grilled cheese and tomato soup from jolly holiday! Earl of sandwich has some veggie options and chicken options. I was just looking at Ballast Point and they have some veggie options too. Have a fun trip!

Chicken tacos or potato tacos at Cocina Cucamonga (and people rave about the QuesaBirria tacos here, for your DH)

Chicken tacos or cauliflower tacos at Rancho del Zocalo (you can get the taco plate in any combination you want, so you don’t have to include a beef taco)

Cheesy pizza flop-over at Cafe Daisy

Plaza inn has the best fried chicken meal with mashed potatoes and green beans (I know you can request to speak to someone about your allergies here but not sure if this is a nut friendly item). I also love the Cheesy Pizza Flop-over at Daisey's cafe in Toontown. They have Peanut/Tree Nut Allergy-Friendly Cheesy Pizza Flop-Over too!

We love this thing. I'm somewhat biased towards eating meat and I would have no problem eating this every day. When I told @MrsNVDISFamily how good they were and ordered two "real" and two "fake" wraps I was quickly relieved of my "fake" wrap and forced to eat the meat one....

I second the Rancho del Zocalo recommendation, but also add the fire grilled chicken as a recommendation for @skellinton. Lots of good options there for a variety of things.

Would also add:

Flo's - the fried chicken and the low & slow club are good poultry options, and they have a burger for the meat eater
Plaza Inn - chicken obviously, but also pasta (with and without meat) and pot roast options
Earl of Sandwich (if you want to eat in DTD for a break) - LOTS of veggie, poultry and meat options

Yes, jolly holiday is still that good, I crave the tomato bisque and grilled cheese sandwich.

Also keen on the chicken sandwich at Pym’s, with an arugula salad as a side, and enjoyed the shrimp salad my last visit. But if you are a pretzel lover that Quantum pretzel would be calling my name. They typically do a seasonal pretzel as well.

lobster nachos at LLL always a plus
plaza inn fried chicken as mentioned
cauliflower nachos at Rancho are my go to, and I hear good things about their chicken plate. If you are there during the holidays their chicken soup is divine.
Red Rose Tavern’s tots are great - I love their breakfast harvest bowl, extra tots ;)
the compressed watermelon salad at harbour gallery is on my to do list, haven’t had it yet but have a few salad’s I want to try across property. They also have a lobster roll but I lived in Boston for 6 years and just can’t bring myself to get it. LOL
the new menu items in San Fransokyo are getting good reviews - the chicken karaage sandwich and yaki udon I can’t wait to try

At Carthay I would totally and happily make a meal out of a bunch of those yummy appetizers - tapas style!

One word of caution with the pineapple, my sister has a pineapple allergy and has to be careful with some sauces such as those at Bengal. Better to go to the counter and ask before mobile ordering.

EDIT: pretzels!
