My husband and I have tickets for NOV12
We're not going into the park but want to check out some of CitiWalk.

So all Universal veterans, plan my afternoon before the show and after.

one more? where will we be parking?

TAI

Anybody.............

stores to check out, somewhere for drinks, somewhere to eat.........

nowhere but here to ask...................

There are lots of great places to see and eat at in City Walk.

What type of evening are you looking for? Dinner beforehand?

Give me a little more background info and I'll do my best. :)

It's an 8:00 show. before of after either is ok

Is there a free outdoor parking lot close like at downtown disney?

Ok,

So, with an 8pm show the house will open about 7:30. The box office opens everyday at 10 am so whenever you feel like going over to City Walk you can pick your tickets up then.

There is no more HHN that night so I believe the parking prices will reduce at 6pm again to atleast $5. Maybe they will have the FL residents park for free (if you are one, I would check with that) but Parking rates do change without the best of notice and are normally $15. So, I cannot guarantee that info, but its a very educated guess.

Your BMG ticket will give you priority seating at most of the restaurants (Emerils excluded) and free access to the clubs at City Walk.

What I would do is:

Arrive at 6:00pm to the Parking Garage
Eat Dinner at NBA City or Margaritaville.
(I know it's weird to say NBA but before going Vegan thats where I would go with my fellow TM to eat before meetings at the theater)
Enjoy the BMG Show.
Make sure to hang around in the lobby after the show. The Blue Men and the band usually stop by for photo opportunities.
The show is 1 hr 35 minutes, but I would plan 2 hours for the the full experience.
Afterwards: Hit up Pat O'Briens and/or Rising Star afterwards.

Does that help?

BMG is a fantastic show! I love the new technology in this newest edition! Hope you enjoy it!

May I ask how your purchased your tickets? Just curious.

Thanks for the itinerary- Jimmy buffets looks llike something husband and I would like

and the heads up about parking ($$)

I got the tix thru expedia

Actually wish I wouldn't have commited so soon because I'd love to change the date but they are non-EVERYTHING. ( no cancel, no refund, no exchange)

I've never been and am really looking forward to it.

I decided to make myself happy and just go ahead and buy tix AGAIN, for the date that will really fit our little get-away best.

OUCH ( goodbye + $170)

Here is my tip to pass along;
Do NOT buy BMG tix if booking a trip thru Expedia ( not their fault) because all you will get is a voucher which you in turn will have to take to the ticket window.. You can go to BMG website and purchase and get GREAT seats at your selection, mailed to your home FREE.

My dilema started when I decided to book a 25th anniversary to to F & W festival In Epcot to see BigBadVoodoo Daddy ( husbands LOVES). We wanted to see them 2 nights and I could not confirm anywhere that were playing on the last day, too much conflicting info (11th vs12th). That is untill this week ( F&W was extended and 12th was last date but everywhere had BBVD playing only until 11th).

It was killing me knowing that we could have avoided SAT in EpCOT ( it will be crazy crowded) and done BMG that night and then spend our 2 days SUN and MON., with Monday being so much more relaxed.

Ultimately I decided &*^%, I live only once and I don't want this sinking feeling in my gut any longer!!!

Anyone want to buy my MON Tix, I can meet you in citiwalk on SAT. Best offer!!

Oh my goodness!!!!

Please call the BMG box office phone center and tell them what you did.

1800 BLU EMAN (not sure what the numbers are)

Just do it for me. I'll explain once you do it. :)

For future goers. I have to agree. Buy the tickets straight from the theater.

Also. With Expedia tickets you get sent a voucher but The box office gets your request and will book you reserved seating.

You just exchange that voucher for your reservation. Expedia gets a confirmation email. It was my understanding that the guest learned which seats they were given.

But it's still better to go straight thru the website or give them a call. :)

the blue men will not be in the lobby for pics after their performance.

check their website and see the special pass you can buy to do a meet and greet with them.
it is at that time you can do the pictures with them.

The VIP lounge gives you more time and a special interaction with one of the three Blue Men but after the show the Blue Men and band members do try to visit the lobby.

Trust me, I'd hang out for a bit.

The VIP lounge does come with a show program, a special meet & greet after the show, as well as two drink tickets to enjoy before (I think after) the show as well.

Today, I sent BMG-Orlando an email with my little story:rolleyes2 and asked that they email the tickets for the show which I will not be attending. Afterall, I have already been charged for them. Hopefully, they will and I'll try to go thru EBAY to dump them. Regardless, I'll live with what I did.;)

:thumbsup2

First- today the mail came with my new tickets.
next- opened email and had a response and it seems that as long as I bring my mailed tickets and my vouchers from Expedia to the ticket window ( after a contact with them one more time) I should receive a refund.

If that is the case I will be extremely happy.;)

So back to my plan, I think we're going to try a place on international Drive called Cafe TUTU Tango for a late lunch, head to Universal, check out some of the shops, possible get the VIP extra for the BMG and after the show, head into J Buffet's Margaritaville.

Yup. Sounds correct.

Very cool.

Lemme know how you enjoy the show! & definitely try the VIP upgrade :)
