I’m at teacher so I’m stuck to traveling either School breaks or summer time. We would use tickets from air miles and pay out of pocket for food, so now I’m trying to decide between staying moderate at March break (hopefully with a room only discount) or staying deluxe at the end of August (highly discounted through travel agent - assuming deal is offered again in 2019) The pricing between the two options should be similar. We traveled at both times before. Weather is better in March but more crowded. Less crowds at end of August but the heat and rain every day. What would you pick?

spring is a better choice just for the weather alone, is less likely to rain, Florida summer means daily thunderstorms and is way to hot and humid. Crowds will be similar but nice weather makes it better.

IF you don’t mind the heat id say august.
Spring break weeks are tuff I hear. PLUS
Deluxe rules. GReat pools and a lot fun

March break gets my vote,,I've been in August ONCE and never again.
I love the heat but the Humidity was just too much.

Have fun planning

I agree with pp about the heat and humidity - if you are fine with that then end August is the better time because kids are already back to school in the US.

In fact that's when we usually go on our Caribbean cruises. (We're good with the humidity, obviously.)

Also a teacher here, I would choose August. A Disney vacation is just so busy that you'll return to work exhausted. The only way around this would be if your spring break is 2 weeks, then I would go to Disney during the first week and relax at home the second week, returning to work rested. I went to Disney once during Christmas break and really struggled from January to Spring break at work because I didn't get any semblance of relaxation during Christmas break. Good luck with your decision!

DW is a teacher so we have the same restriction. We are always March break. We spend our summers outdoors enjoying Canada - we camp as much as possible, do music festivals, other outdoors stuff. In March when we are totally sick of the cold and dark is the time to head South for a mid-winter taste of summer.
