Help me pick a strategy

I want to get a chance to do all of the toy story land rides. I've snagged SDD FPs, but that leaves me without FPs for TSM or AlSwSa. We have 8 days in the parks. Here are my options (as I see them):

1. Two days at MK, 1 at EPCOT, 2 at DHS (using FPs), 1 at AK, 2 flex days to do whatever we haven't done (but won't have FP+ in advance since I don't know which park to plan for). *this is my current setup

2. get DAH tickets for MK and delete one MK day from the plan above and make FP+ for another DHS day.

3. get DAH tickets for DHS, but still use the 1 ticket for another day so we can see the daytime shows

I'm really leaning towards getting DAH tickets, but I cannot decide which park to do. :( MK seems like it's a better value considering how much is open, but I will likely be able to do everything I want to at MK with my plan the way it is already and that's not the case with DHS. It's $$$ for a group of 7!

The after hours parties are great. But will any kids be able to stay up that late? Will you be able to get going the next morning? 8 days of parks are a lot. As much as you tink you'll take it slow chances are you never will.

What time of the year are you going? Alien Swirl was largely empty when we visited in December, Toy story wasn't terrible either.

I'm bringing 3 teenagers, 3 adults, and a 5yo. She never goes to bed before midnight, unfortunately, so she'll be fine. LOl

We'll be there in May.

If I have to wait standby for anything in TSL it's going to be TSMM because it's the only air-conditioned thing over there that's not the restroom (and I generally can get it as a 4th FP but even on the rare occasions when I was happy to wait and cool off). AS2 generally has the shortest wait of the 3 attractions. I can't bring myself to spend the money on DAH at HS. If you already have 2 days planned there, that should be plenty to see and do it all (most of it can be easily done in 1 day or less depending on which shows you want to see).

I say leave your current setup. Snag FPs for another day at MK, Epcot, or AK in case you decide you haven't seen it all there and want to go. You can always cancel them and modify later.

I'd say strategy #1, however I just left Disney and we RD HS to TSL and honestly the waits for TSM and Alien Saucers aren't bad if you do them first thing in the morning. I think TSMM had a 5 minute wait.

If I had to choose I would go with option 3 and get the most out of your wish to do all the Toy Story land rides (which you stated right in the beginning of your post). We are going in October (just came back from 9 days in February) and that is what we are doing. My 12 and 14 year old loved SDD but it was just so crowded there that we couldn't enjoy much else in TSL. I would spend the extra days (or half days if you have hoppers) and do all you want in Magic Kingdom. And go back to DHS for the shows as you mentioned.

If you really want to do the toy story rides, why not do early morning magic?

You should be able to get multiple trips on all three rides by doing EMM. Unless that is a no go for you guys because you are night owls.

The other benefit of doing EMM is that you can then go and rope drop rock n roller coaster and Tower of terror, and then you will have done everything but the shows by 10 o’clock in the morning.

If your bunch likes TSM as much as mine does they'll want to ride it over and over again. The best time to do this is during the last hour of operation. Even at the height of its popularity, we were almost always able to ride 4 times during that last hour. Just keep in mind that posted wait times are intentionally exaggerated at night to discourage late riders.
