I have 2 openings on my dining reservations. I would appreciate some help filling the spots. We prefer buffets and may be willing to do the family-style type. We are already doing all of the character buffets. We like these types b/c my daughter is only 2 and cannot be on the dining plan, so it is easy to feed her and we all have very different tastes in food, so a lot of variety is good for us. My husband is a very picky carnivore who eats very little veggies. I like a bit of adventure, but not a huge meat eater or breakfast food eater. My son likes breakfast foods, pizza, mac & cheese, chicken, veggies, fruit, etc. And my daughter would eat anything that is even questionably edible. Please give us some recommendations and why you recommend them. Thank you so much for your help!

You should definitely do Biergarten then. Lots of meat and veggies and even stuff for the pickiest eater there. And who doesn't like a good sausage?

One of our favorite restaurants was Boma's at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The buffet was wonderful! My son is pretty much a chicken nugget, fries, and mac and cheese kids. So it had options like that but it also had some great food for everybody else. Very big selection and wonderful service. We also loved O'Hanas at the Polynesian. I actually was not a fan of the grilled meats. But the salad, shrimp, vegetables and fabulous dessert were worth the trip and I would do it again. And we love Le Cellier in Canada - best steaks! Those are my top picks. See my dining report to see pictures of the food at these restaurants.

S. Poppins - the dessert at Ohana's sounds wonderful! The best part would be that DH doesn't like dessert, so I would only have to share with the kids! Thanks for link. Its very helpful. Could you please send me the link to your Boma review?

Hey Ariel, the Boma review is a on page 6 of my dining report. The dessert at Ohana's was fabulous and you can get as much as you want!

S. Poppins - Your dining reviews are great! You cover everything with pics and go into great detail. I love that! You are seriously making me hungry!

Cape May and Beirgarten are our favorite buffets...Boma breakfast rocks too

I just booked last night for 7 nights/8 Days with free dinning.
Last and only trip was back in 05 and we also had DDP except we paid for it so I am very excited to be getting the free deal.
Anywho, last time we went as I said first and only trip so we were flying by the seat of our pants so to speak. I planned the trip as best I could and with 1 exception I did very well with our ADR's and everyone was happy for the most part.

Last time we did:
Coral Reef 2 TS credits- Had the lobster tail
Chef Mickys - food wasn't the best we ever had but good and so much fun
Sci Fi Dine in - Chicken ceasar salad, not what we exspected & I got very sick
Crystal Palace - Yummy, bright, cheering and just good old fashion fun
CRT - for lunch, couldn't even tell you what exactly they gave us but it was just gross.

We will be in the world for my birthday this year and we want to do Chef Mickys again for sure cause everyone just really loved it there. I was going to return to Coral Reef but I just found out they no longer serve the lobster and I was planning to celebrate my birthday at Cap N Jacks and now I just read their menu and no more lobster tails there either.
Please tell me there somewhere in the world where a girl can have a nice lobster dinner or at least some good crab legs!:confused3

What do you have planned so far?
Our favorites are :

Chef Mickeys (The food is great and so much fun! We go our last night of the trip for dinner.)

Crystal Palace (Our youngest is a BIG Pooh fan! We start our trip here for dinner. We've done lunch just like our big meal at dinner time. Food is great and lots of fun!)

'Ohana (This is mine and dh favorite! We are planning on doing it twice this trip since there is nothing like it around us! Food is great and lots of fun with hula lessons, coconut races! The kids can eat what they have or order something else like chicken fingers, hot dog...)

Does anyone have anything to say on Whispering Canyon? I here the milk shakes are endless and to die for.

We went on the 4th of July 2007. I was already for all the fun and it just wasn't what I thought it would be. I think maybe because it was the 4th and they were so busy? The food was fine. Nothing great. The kids like. Not a must do for us but if the kids wanted to go I would do it again.

We liked Sci-Fi in Studio's. Not a buffet but very good food and very unique setting.
