Help me pick a restaurant!?!

Hi everyone,

We will be taking my son to WDW to celebrate his first birthday in October. We are staying off-site with family and will only be visiting the Magic Kingdom but would like to eat somewhere either at the MK or a resort for his b-day meal.

I will list the people in the group and their dining needs, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I know everyone will look to me to pick somewhere!

Me-will eat anything
DH-picky, likes meat and potatoes but will eat fish
MIL-open to anything
FIL-doesn't push the envelope foodwise and doesn't enjoy expensive meals
BroIL-picky, likes meat and potatoes nothing weird
My mom-only eats chicken
My dad-will eat anything, loves to go out big, eat big, drink big
DS-will only be one so probably won't eat much

Is there any restaurant that can meet everyone's needs!?! Please help!

I think Crystal Palace would be a good choice. It is a buffet with lots of choices. The winne the pooh characters are there. The smaller ones usually like these characters. However if you think he will be scared of the characters that may not be a good choice.

ok if you can get reservations at Chef Mickey's, it might be your best bet. It's a short monorail ride away from MK in the Contemporary resort. It is a character meal so you'll see Mickey and Company for your son. It's a buffet for your Dad to eat big at. They have roasted chicken, carved beef, savory sides and kids' favorites (like mac 'n' cheese).They even have a sundae bar at the end for dessert. You can find something for the picky eaters and the baby. They have it all.
Then if you really want to go all out, reserve a boat cruise for a half hour before the fireworks show (which leaves from the contemporary) and watch wishes with just your family on a boat!! I did it last year and it was amazing.

You could also consider Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. It's got a lot of "normal" food---turkey, beef, mashed potatoes, veggies, stuffing and mac n' cheese.

Or if you are willing to leave the MK you may have a good time at Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. The atmosphere may be fun for a large group, the food is pretty varied so there may be an option for everyone and the prices are reasonable.

has a wide variety but alcohol is not served in the MK. (I apologize if I misinterpreted what you meant by your father drinks big.) The Wave or Kona might work for all.
