Well, with Crystal Palace being off the table for our January trip (was so looking forward to the puffed french toast!), we need a new place to start our MK morning.

Which would you pick, and why? I'm leaning toward 1900 PF only because the antics look like fun... but that early in the morning without coffee I'm not the most pleasant person to be around. ;)

I'm so conflicted! I'm mourning the loss of CP... loved it for dinner, couldn't wait to try it for breakfast!

I would say Ohana! Good food with Characters. We did not care for park fare food when we went which is another reason I say Ohana.

Unfortunately, we've not eaten at any of them. I tried to get 1900 Park and couldn't get it for this trip; I had Kona because DH wanted the Tonga Toast, but I cancelled it when I was able to get Boma. We did Ohana back in the days when it was Minnie's Menehue and a buffet; we've avoided it since because I don't care for family style (I'd rather pick and choose what I want to eat) and we can't stand Stitch.

I selected Kona because I've read awesome reviews about it and we'll be there next year.

Another O'Hana here. Kids specifically requested it again this year. We were last there three years ago, and they still talk about how great the juice was!

If you like Lilo & Stitch, definitely a must-do!

Is there supposed to be antics at 1900 Park Fare? If there are, we missed them :( Can anyone tell me what they are? :(

You could always try Chef Mickey's or Ohana for breakfast too since they are character meals and right on the monorail. 1900 Park Fare was probably our least favorite breakfast...not that it was bad, it just wasn't great and we found much better items on the buffet at other places...however, if you were hoping to see Pooh..he was at 1900 with Tigger :)

Not sure if I would call them antics, but our then almost-3-yr-old daughter loved breakfast there back in January. From what I remember, it was fun but subdued - no kids/characters on parade like you see at CP or Ohana's.

During our visit to 1900 PF, Tigger pretended to drink our daughter's orange juice. She still talks about it every once in a while. :)

You'll find a nice variety of characters, especially if your party enjoys Mary Poppins. There's definitely a British theme to the breakfast -- Mary Poppins, Alice and the Mad Hatter, Tigger, and Pooh were all in attendance the day we were there.

P.S.: I love the strawberry soup!

I personally love the family style of Ohana. It allows everyone to find something they like and feel satisfied with the amount. Although I do love Crystal Palace (primarily for location) as with any self serving buffet when there are younger children in the family it means Mom and Dad are like pieces of toast. Up, down, up, down, up, down....you get the idea. Plus, I just LOVE the dance train, for lack of a better term. I of course have to participate because my kids are so small :rotfl2: (they are 4 & 9 and look at me like I am crazy when I get up with them).

No matter which one you chose, I am sure you will enjoy it!

Thanks for the replies!

I've read mixed reviews on 1900 PF, so I wasn't really sure what to think.

I think, at this point, we'll go with Kona - DH would LOVE Tonga Toast, or the Big Kahuna platter... and that might get his mind over "Oh man I wanted a buffet!" :lmao:

If we can't get Kona, probably Grand Floridian Cafe - that lobster eggs benedict looks awfully tempting...

I really liked Ohana on the last trip - Pineapple Hawaiian Sweet Bread! MMM! Food was good, the "family style" service was a nice change of pace, and you could still get more of whatever you liked.

We really like 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, great food & characters. The Mad Hatter was ok, DD3 didn't like him, but Tigger was AWESOME! He came to our table twice and just so funny. Mary Poppins & Alice were great and so was Pooh. I really enjoyed the food there, lots of selections, including made to order omelets.
