Hi everybody...

We are planning to go on a Southern Cal tour from Feb 21 - 28ish, give or take a day or two. We would like to stay in a hotel around DL that has:

a suite - a room that seperates us from our daughter or she does NOT sleep!
deluxe continental breakfast (not sure if I'm naming it right but one that offers some protien and fresh fruit daily)
free parking (we're driving 30 plus hours to get there!)
pool (do I need it heated this time of the year?)
free wireless internet

Some other questions are:
We're planning to tour DL and DCA for 3 days, then go down to San Diego for SeaWorld. Would you suggest we get a hotel near there or is it feasible to think we would drive from DL to SD for a day trip?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Renee

I can't help with the hotel because we have different requirements but I can with the SD question.

We have driven down and back to the San Diego Zoo while staying at the GCH. It was fine. I think we left 1 1/2 hrs before the zoo opened and we there a few minutes after it opened. After we got out of LA, the drive was quick and easy. I would do it again if I only wanted to do one attraction in SD. Traffic back in was heavy but not a big issue as long as you relax. I found it easier then the commute traffic in San Jose.

We have also stayed at a hotel in SD when we did not only disney but also the Zoo, Wild animal park, the beach and Sea world. So it depends on what you want to do and it you want time at the beach or a different enviroment from DL.

Have fun.

On our last trip (8 nights) we drove down to San Diego twice, once for Sea World and once for Lego Land. Very doable and I would do it again.

As far as hotels go-
Howard Johnsons offers all you are requesting except no breakfast
Desert Inn and Suites offers a room type that you are looking for, but I do not know if they offer free wi-fi
I know there is/are hotels that meet all your requirements, you might just have to go through the list and click on them all to see what they have available
