We are doing a short DL visit in November. 2 nights only, so we are going to stay off-site on Harbor. We want inexpensive (econo), and a 5-10 minute walk. So far, I've been considering the HoJo, Tropicana, Camelot Inn, and the Desert Inn & Suites. Are they all decent?

Thanks!

We've stayed at Tropicana and Desert Inn/Suites and they were both fine. Next month ,we'll be staying at HoJo based on all the good reviews it gets.

You might also consider the Best Western Anaheim Inn. It's right across the street from the Harbor entrance, next to the Denny's. I've stayed there several times and it's a very nice, clean hotel.

Try to get the Entertainment Rate at the HoJo, currently it is $59/74 a night depending on the room you get. :) You do need the Ent Card but you can get any book and use that card.

If the Ent Rate isn't available I would try the Candy Cane Inn next and then the Tropicana. Those are my favorite Harbor hotels. :)

You didn't mention the Fairfield Inn. It is close and the beds are super comfy! We stayed there this past August and really enjoyed our stay. It gets a :thumbsup2 !

Of those the Tropicana was our favorite. Very close (right across the cross walk), clean, nice rooms. We loved the pool and hot tub. Small but free cont. breakfast.

We recently stayed at the Camelot. We were perfectly happy there. The thing I liked the most was room service from Millie's. Wasn't the best food ever, but they brought it right to our room. My feet couldn't thank them more.

Anaheim Plaza is cheap as well as Castle Inn. Not sure how cheapo you want but for some reason its cheaper than others. I have stayed there its walking distance and as good as Desert Inn or Best Western

I just checked the website for your days and it's as low as $69.

We stayed at the Camelot in 05 and will hit them up again next April.:thumbsup2

My family & I always go to Desert Inn & Suites! Disregard what others may say when they say that it isn't clean or that their service wasn't too great... It is a GREAT hotel !

If I could give it 1,000 stars.. I would :)

what are you looking for? distance? pool? free continental breakfast?

from your list...

HoJo - gets a lot of rave reviews from other members...great, upgraded pool area/toddler wadding area...some rooms have micros/fridges...no continental breakfast...free onsite parking...farthest away...closest to mimi's, which have great food!

Tropicana - closest to the crosswalk over to DL...i've read great things about their pool/hot tub, small but free continental breakfast (coffee, OJ, muffins, croissants...milk, cereal, and bagels can be purchased)...all rooms have micros/fridges. i did find out that some rooms only have a shower stall and no tub, so i requested a room with a tub because of my toddler and infant (easier to give them baths)...free onsite parking

Camelot Inn - might be a tie with Desert inn as to the location from the crosswalk to DL...micros/fridges in all rooms, rooftop pool/spa (i heard it's a great place to view the fireworks), free continental breakfast...free onsite parking

Desert Inn & Suites...micros/fridges in all rooms...free continental breakfast...not sure about parking...indoor pool

we stayed at the tropicana a couple weeks ago and liked it just fine. the location was the best...rooms were a bit small. i'd stay there again. in december, we decided to try out the camelot (which is just one hotel down from tropicana (the carousel is between tropicana and the camelot). for our march trip next year, i think we'll stay at either the tropicana again or camelot (depending on how our december trip goes).

hth! :)

Thank you for all of the helpful replies. :disrocks:
We've decided to go with Ho Jo. We can get the entertainment rate on one of the nights, and will use the AP discount on the other night. I will call to book tomarrow morning.
I just bought the entertainment card only on Ebay for $4.99. I don't have much of a need for the rest of it. Apparently, I can download coupons from the internet if I want.
:thanks:
