Help me pick 4 days around DD in November

Driving myself crazy and could do with some advice. My db and I are heading back to what we call our Mickey Madness Sib trip over Dapper Day weekend (DD is Sunday) the first weekend of November. We are each self employed so when we vacation we don’t get paid. It is more cost effective around my work schedule to go Friday to Monday (than Thursday to Sunday) but I wonder if the trade off is worth it (money vs quality Disney time).

Wondering if it would be better to go Thursday to Sunday versus Friday to Monday of that first weekend as far as lower crowds (we don't need to experience DD--we will probably dress up, but are not planning on being a part of its Sunday festivities).

If Thursday will be significantly less crowded than the Monday after DD then we would prefer these 4 days. What do you think?

DH and I were there Sat and Sun this past year for a quick adults only trip. I can't say whether Thurs or Mon would be better based on my actual experience of that weekend but I'd guess Mon. Sun tends to slow down in the evenings since all the locals have to go to work the next day so being able to take advantage of the entire evening vs leaving that day is good. There was a huge gaming conference that weekend, it was Fri and Sat, I'm sure a lot of people arrived Thurs night. I don't think those people impacted crowds but it did make a huge difference when it came to booking a hotel. I had to keep checking prices to eventually get a lower rate on our Fri night stay. We did plan kinda last minute so you probably won't run into that if you book far enough in advance.

It's slightly dependent on when Christmas officially starts. Someone could tell you that Monday is better than Thursday, and then Disney could decide to have some kind of pre-Holiday event on that Monday with just a few weeks notice and that will change things. If that happened would you spend the whole trip regretting the days you picked? You just have to pick one and roll with it.

thank you for the thoughts...I don't think Sunday evening will slow down as it is Dapper Day. And, from I am reading this is right after Halloween so the switchover is happening, but Christmas won't officially begin yet.

I guess my question is: when Dapper Day is Sunday, which day will most likely be slower: the Thursday before or Monday?

We didn't think the crowds were really that bad for Dapper Days, there were several dressed up on Sat and definitely more on Sun. It seemed like most of the people dressed up were there for the afternoon but by evening I didn't notice nearly as many (probably too tired from walking around in uncomfortable shoes lol).

This is really great to hear. When I have gone in previous years when it was held over Halloween Time I found it to be very crowded. Good to know.
