Help me out, here, please

Arrived at my destination in Orange County, California, around 5:00 a.m. my time this morning and am really dragging. We are visiting DS and his bride for the holidays.

Options are to either hit the grocery store (Von's ????) today while they are working, to purchase an entire Christmas day meal. Or, find a local restaurant that may be serving a nice holiday meal. Or see if there is any where on Disney property that is serving up something special for the holidays.

It is amazing how when you take this fish out of the water and the fish doesn't have their own dishes and pantry to work with that things become such a conundrum.

I had hoped that maybe one of the grocery stores would offer a pre-cooked meal, turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, rolls, etc., and then we could a couple of family favorites, but google has not found anything like that for me yet.

Any of you locals have any suggestions? The most important thing is that the 4 of us are all together, but a nice meal would be an added bonus on Christmas day.

Well, Von's has saved the day. They are doing a turkey dinner deal that all we have to do is pop it in the oven. Yay. that takes some stress off. If theirs is as good as the one we have gotten at Publix in Orlando, it will be fine. Not the same as what we have at home, but again, being together is the most important part of the whole day.

I'm glad you found something. I found this post a little late but I was going to suggest Von's as well. I had surgery a few days before Thanksgiving so I hadn't bought anything since I wasn't going to be able to cook and wasn't even sure if I'd be able to eat! Thanksgiving morning I decided I was well enough to eat a bit so we went to Von's and got all the pre-packaged stuff from the deli - stuffing, potatoes, gravy, turkey breast - and it was not too shabby.

I was also going to suggest Mimi's Cafe across the street from DLR. I know they have those meals to go for the holidays.
