I am trying to decide between a few restaurants and I am stuck b/t a couple... looking for input to help me decide please!

1) Ohana Bk or Tusker House Bk---which did you like better for food and or atmoshpere etc?

2)Whispering Canyon or Prime Time Cafe?? same as above

3)Kona Cafe , Coral reef or Le Cellier?

Help me decide!
Thanks :)

ps this is our first family trip :yay:

1. We have not done 'Ohana or Tusker House for breakfast, but this year we're trying 'Ohana, mostly because we're staying at the Poly and thought that would be easier than getting over to Tusker House. Sorry I can't help there.

2. No question for us--Prime Time. My kids all had a blast here last year, and two of our three visits to Whispering Canyon were disappointing. We loved Prime Time.

3. We haven't done Le Cellier (doesn't interest us), but Kona and Coral Reef are both good. DH really likes Coral Reef, and we always do Kona because it's at the Poly too. We're doing both this trip. I really think either one would be very nice. Kona is Asian inspired, so if you don't want that type of meal, consider somewhere else. I do think your kids would like seeing the fish at Coral Reef; Kona does not offer such fun scenery.

Thanks for the input... I was thinking Kona for father's day maybe .... I need to try and decide b/tw coral reef and Le Cellier for lunch..

I was/am having such a hard time b/tw WCC and PTC..

As far as Le Cellier and Coral reef, I say flip a coins. My family loves both places equally but for different reasons.

flipping a coin is a good idea too, but would like some input from others before we resort to that lol!

Between LeCellier and Coral Reef, I'd go with Coral Reef considering the ages of your kids. Once inside LeCellier there is nothing to look at really. At Coral Reef they would have the aquarium - you might even get seated right in front of it if you are lucky or ask when you check-in.

We really like Prime Time Cafe both of my children enjoy the fun with the server.
Kona Cafe and Coral Reef are really great...your kids might enjoy the aquarium at Coral Reef. My DS age 9, prefer this child menu of Coral Reef.

1. I haven't done Tusker House, but we did Donald's Restaurantasaurus which it's replacing and we did O'hana's. We loved O'hana's I think because it wasn't a buffet and it didn't seem so rushed. Both had good character interaction, but you feel like sometimes you are missing something when you are going back and forth to the buffet. The food was really good at O'hana's. You can see Lilo and Stitch at O'hana's which was fun. We had already seen Mickey, Goofy and Pluto at other character meals.

2. We ate at both WCC and PTC. Both were a lot of fun. I love the atmosphere of WCC, I mean the Wilderness Lodge is awesome. We also personally preferred the food at WCC. But you can't go wrong with the food at Primetime also. Look at the menu's and your schedules and see what works best.

3. We haven't eaten at Kona or Le Cellier (we go for our kids and they don't seem interested in either). Coral Reef had very good food and the aquarium was really neat. The kids loved this restaurant and so did my husband and I.

I think your choices are all good, look at the menu's and see what looks good to you and your family.

Between Coral Reef and Le Cellier....Just because of the kids I would choose Coral Reef if you've never been, but in my opinion, Le Cellier has fantastic food and with or without kids I would go back there. But then again I've been to both. Coral Reef was a must do for me before I had been there and it was worth it, really neat to sit and eat among the fishes.

1 - I love O'hana's but have not been to Tusker House.

2 - Both are great choices. Will you have a car? I always rent so it doesn't bother me to resort hop. People using Disney Busses talk of long trips to get from one place to another. If transportation/time was not a factor, I would pick Whispering Canyon. I love the Wilderness Lodge. I'm actually getting together my list of places for our next trip and we are going back to both of these. :)

3 - Hoping to do Coral Reef this trip so I can't offer anything there. We ate at both the others (and plan to do both on our next trip too). If I had to choose one, it would be Kona. We both enjoyed that meal just a little more.

All of your choices are good though.....I'm sure you will enjoy any of them! Have a great trip.pixiedust:

1 ~ ohana (better food & atmosphere, imho)
2 ~ 50's PTC (we don't care for WC food)
3 ~ coral reef (CR is easily our fave out of the three ~ we've never been disapppointed in multiple visits. kona & LC would tie for 2nd. both are OK for food & atmosphere, with kona getting a slight edge for the beauty of the poly).
hth:)

Just wanted to add that Tusker House is great for lunch  . I mean really really good. Gosh I wish I could go there tonight:rotfl: . We loved it on our early Feb. trip.

I know I WISH I could do ALL of them, then I wouldn't have any problems ~lol! I got carried away when I made my ressie now I need to go back and figure out the for sure ones~ it still seems split with most of them.... but seems like coral reef is winning out over le cellier... I think I will keep Kona for father's day and then figure out what we are doing for Lunch the day before. coral reef or le Cellier... I need to go back and look over the menus again!
Thanks again.. keep it coming I love everyone's input :)

Good luck, have a great vacation.

1. I haven't eaten at either Ohana's or Tusker House. We ate at the Poly for breakfast about 6 years ago, it wasn't Ohana's then, and really enjoyed it. Sorry not much help there.

2. WCC has always been one of our favorites. However the last time we went the antics were low key. I've been told that at different times of the year they are told to keep it down a bit as they are open to the lobby. The food is yummy, but if you are going for the antics then it could be a hit or miss. Prime Time has good food and we've always gotten a very dramatic waitress. My DD5 LOVES all the antics here. (Mommy and Daddy get into trouble a lot). So depending on your family's pesonality, this can be a great experiance. However I have heard people walking away thinking that the waitperson was rude(personally I think the patrons just didn't get the antics and weren't into playing along).

3. My vote is for Le Cellier! We've made this a regular, been there at least a dozen times! We ALWAYS get delicious food, from the appetizers to the desserts and everything in between! We've always recieved tremendous service here too! I've heard GREAT reviews for Kona's, but we've never been there. This is on our to-do list. Coral Reef does have a great atmosphere for the kids. However, we've never liked the food here. We live near the ocean and therefore get fresh seafood ALL the time(seafood is our favorite) and Coral Reef just didn't live up to our standards. We had crab legs, I'm pretty sure they had been sitting in water for quite some time(cold and soggy).

I hope where ever you go that it is wonderful and you have nothing but the best food and the best of time!

I am going to echo Coral Reef over Le Cellier again just because of the aquarium. We have enjoyed meals in both places and happily will be able to go back to both next trip. :)

My DS (now 12) absolutely loves the O'Hana breakfast. He says that the food there "just tastes better". The characters are good, Stich was hillarious last visit. We did the old Donald breakfast in AK and found the characters to be very rushed. We are trying to new one this year.
