Which flight would you choose?

Flight A: It's a 45 minute drive away from home. Parking is $5 a night (3 nights). It's a direct flight to Sanford/Orlando. I will be renting a car for a 54 minute drive to Disney World. Return flight leaves early at 7:10. Total cost 323.00

Or

Flight B: Leaves from my hometown. Has hour and a half layovers but flies into MCO. I can pick a return flight a little later if I wish. Total cost 368.00.

Just want opinions. The direct flight is so appealing! (Hate getting on and off planes). Also think it would be fun to drive a different car and blast my disney tunes!

On the other hand for $45 more I can fly into MCO and take the magic express. Also the ability to stay a little later is appealing but being this is my first solo trip I may be completely homesick and not want the extra time.

Decisions decisions.

With a return flight leaving at 7:10AM, you'd probably only get half a night of sleep the night before, which would make for an extra rough travel day. I would find a way to avoid this. Unless, you're an early morning person and you typically like to get up around 4AM, in which case it might be OK.

Since the pricing is so close it sounds like it depends on what kind of experience you are wanting.

With a 45 minute drive, you'll eat into some of the savings difference between the 2.

Also, what other flights are into Sanford that day? The reason to check this is in case there is a flight cancelation - will you still be able to get to Sanford that day?

I usually have to stick with the mainstream airports for that reason.

Does the total cost for Sanford include the 3 day rental? If so, make sure you also include the cost of gas for the trip. Parking is free if you're staying on property, so that's not an extra cost. For me, a flight at 7 am would kill my last day, but I'm not a morning person.

Also, many of the carriers to Sanford charge for carry ons, so make sure you incude this fee.

I think I would choose option B. I love direct flights too but the option to take a later flight on the way home might be worth it for you to get some extra sleep. Plus I love ME. The hassle of renting a car and then paying for parking would negate the positive of a direct flight, IMO.
