Help me make this an enjoyable land and sea adventure

Long story short- veteran husband with service connected disability. Walking long distances is very physically draining. He loves the parks but his condition has gotten worse and we did use a scooter for our last WDW trip.

We took our first Disney cruise. On the ship no issues. The islands were tougher and I don't think he enjoyed it as much as he had wished. He uses a cane and the beach and all that... we just had not planned well enough. We used the golf cart service for lookout but the walk at castaway even to the first tram was pushing it.

We are doing a full day at WDW followed by a 5 night on the fantasy.

Are there any scooter services that we can rent for the entire trip land and sea?

Scooter on the fantasy- we did not book an accessible room. We only really need it on the islands. My understanding is that there is a place on the ship they can store it?

Any tips on making the private islands a bit more enjoyable for him? I think it was a mix of we were new to it all so we're trying to figure out our bearings and we had a windy day at Look out. Like for the islands would a push chair be better? He just needs a better way to get around from the different beaches, food areas, etc. avoiding the walks allows him to have the energy for the fun. He is also in medication that makes him more sensitive to the sun so finding shade was importance. Honestly we rent cabanas anywhere else we go and it makes a huge difference for us but since we are still considered peasants (haha) in Disney cruise line status the likelihood of that happening is almost zero- tho our last cruise a couple newbies got them by checking constantly.

I know Walker Mobility rents for both WDW and DCL. Others may allow it if you plan to return it back at WDW.

If the scooter doesn’t fit in your stateroom (doorways are narrow), you can ask about the designated parking. I think that is deck 2. He can drive it to the stateroom then you can move it for him.

Which island — Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay?

We are going back to both.
