Help me identify this mystery man

[Pete's Mom]

I was looking at some old Disney pics from our first trip back in December 2001. We met a wonderful man and his wife on the bus to MGM. He had a vest on with a ton of pins. Pete had just started collecting. We met up with him at MGM again and he was so sweet. He took Pete to a pin store and bought him a pin to add to his collection. I don't recall his name but hoped that he might be on this board or someone might recognize him so that I could thank him again. Even though it's been over two years, Pete still remembers and talks about that "magical moment" whenever we look at his pins (which is close to 100 now!)

Any ideas?

What a neat picture, mom, and heart-warming story. Ahhh, the magic of Disney.

No ideas here, but maybe also post this, or a link to it, on the Collectors Board. I would not be surprised if he were there, or someone would know him. Looks like he is into pins, Pete too. Cool!!!!

I can't see the picture, but I'm wondering if his name was John? His wife would be Shirley. It sounds a lot like him. Did he also have a hat loaded with pins? If so, then it's definitely John.

Not John, Barb. Sort of reminds me a bit of oldkicker, but is not him either. (BTW, where is OK, anybody seen him lately?)

I can't help with the ID, but I did see that Bernie posted on Rajah's "Update" thread a couple of days ago. I think that he is spending more time at the "Tavern on the Net" these days.

You know he DOES look very familiar!!! I swear I have seen him somewhere but I just can't put my finger on a name right now!!


You know what...I think I saw him at the Boardwalk last year. I will have to go back and look at our pictures but I feel pretty sure that was the same man. But of course they say everyone has a twin! Give me more time and I am sure I will come up with a name
