A friend is taking her first trip to WDW in October alone with her little girl for her 5th birthday.

What 3 TS meals (preferably Dinner) should they plan? (She doesn't really want the Castle b/c of the 2TS it would use)

Thanks!

Akershus for breakfast....princesses!!princess:
Then Crystal palace and LTT for dinner

If friend wants dinner, try 1900 Park Fare. My DD really liked it when she was 5.

I agree with LTT. DD had a great time playing with the characters.

Chef Mickey's (my families all time fave), Princess Breakfast at Askerhaus, and then either Crystal Palace for Pooh, 1900 Park Fare, or Ohana breakfast.

I would base it on which characters thay hope to see.

I love Cinderella's for little girls- it's worth it to me. We will be back there on 6/4. DD's been every trip since her 5th BD trip. We love it that much and now it's tradition.

I vote for crystal palace we just went to Dw on thursday and decided to see if we could walk in and get a table OMG we did!!. I was truly amazed and my Dd who is 5 was thrilled!! We did the castle before but she didnt eat much because it is preplated foo and she is picky. Here they even have child sized hot bars so the kids could make there own plates. it had chicken nuggets, pizza and macc and cheese. plus the deserts were to die for ( go for the Vodka soaked choc cake.) oh YUMM!! i have pics and also a short video of the characters doing a parade inside the rest. it was a hoot !!

I'm traveling with a 4 y.o this fall and we're doing Chef Mickeys, The Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare and the Askerhaus Princess Breakfast.

Both Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are great choices. They both have characters that visit your table. The first time we took our DS to WDW he was 5 and LOVED Chef Mickey's.

I would go with Akershus for sure and 1900 Park Fare because of the princess themes and characters. Our absolute favorite it Chef Mickeys, but we also love Crystal Palace.

I'd suggest going to all character meals, based on the characters that she likes... we really haven't had a bad food experience... all the character meals we've been to have had excellent food.

We chose Hollywood & Vine character breakfast because of Little Einsteins, which my boys were in love with. They also have JoJo and Goliath there. (They're all from the newer Playhouse Disney shows that are a hit with the youngest Disney fans.) The boys got up and danced with the characters, and there were very few people there the whole time (there were actually empty tables), even though this was on a summer trip.

If she's into the princess-y things, do Akershus for breakfast (in the Norway pavillion in Epcot), which is a nice alternative to the extra pricey and hard to obtain ADR for Cinderella's Royal Table in the Castle.

If she likes Pooh and friends, do Crystal Palace... you're bound to see Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet... but not first thing in the morning because you want to enjoy MK before it gets crowded in late morning.

If you're looking for Mickey and friends, Ohana at the Poly or Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary may be good options.
