Help me fix my hair color!! PLEASE!

I put a color on my hair in the beginning of th esummer to lighten it just a bit. I liked it, but after 2 weeks at the beach it was washed out and my roots were coming back.

I decided to color it back to the original color.

The color I chose said darkest brown and it looks brown like cola on the box.
On my head it is BLACK BLACK BLACK. Ugh, much too dark for me.

I called adn thecolor co suggested to just wash it with regular shampoo. I washed it with 5 different shampoos! No Change.

Any Tips?

Dish soap. Yes it works, I've been there done that. It gets out a lot. Just follow it up with a deep conditioning mask, because it dries your hair.

I had a problem with red last year. I heard that Classic Prell worked and it did work better than anything but still not as much as I wanted.

Whenever my daughter used to dye her own hair dark brown, it also looked black. Within 2 weeks it lightened up and was fine. Doesn't sound like you can stand to wait that long.

Honestly, I would go to a hair place and maybe they can throw in a few highlights to take the "shock" out of it.

Have had this happen more than once. Use the dishwashing soap as suggested, over and over and over. Follow with the deep conditioner, also already suggested. Works!

Personally I would go to a salon and get a colour correction done. They can take colour off and lighten it up for you. Good luck though, I know how awful bad hair can be!

This is your best way to go. They came use a product to take the color out and then give you a nice natural brown color. I work at a salon and we do it all the time.
