I'm teaching my children to ski, and they are doing great. I have seasonal rental equipment for them, and I own my own skiis. I'm looking for inexpensive skiing opportunities in the Northeast. We live in NJ - and so far I have only taken them to Campgaw mountain, which is small. I'm looking to branch out a bit, but some of the resorts want $50-60 a day per person. Any suggestions?

I'm not in the mood to shop around ;) but I'm sure our resorts here are not that much. I'm really close to Bear Creek (Allentown, PA) and Blue Mountain. But even the Poconos (Camelback) don't run that much.

We only ever do night skiing to save money (and the kid got a job as a lift operator...that helps  ) But it's a super expensive activity for families, isn't it??

Edited to add....I did go ahead and check and for kids, Camelback is less expensive. They offer an online discount as well. If you go midweek or night skiing, your in better shape too (hookey from school perhaps???) Looks like under 2 hours from Campgaw?
