Help me Decide

Hey all, well I have a dilema... We are planning to go to WDW, US, IOA, and then take the 3 night bahamian cruise on Sept. 18-26, which is value season.... But this time I would have to take my kids out of school for a full week. Now, my kids have a fall break Oct. 18-22. I would like to go when it does not interfere with school, and we have always talked about going to the Mickey's not so scary halloween party, I want to know if anyone has been to this and what they think. Is it worth paying for regular season room rates, and not to mention the cruise rates also go up, just to be able to go when the kids are off and is the Mickeys Not so Scary Halloween Party worth it??
Also It has been a long time since I've been in October, are there smaller crowds in september or october?? Thanks for your help.

I did the halloween party this year. Here is what I noticed. Yup, I think the crowds are lighter in September. But I loved the Halloween party and I would do it again in a heart beat.

A few thoughts..I went from Ocotber 1st-15th. The crowds got much heavier that second weekend I was there..(granted they were opening Mission Spcae, Mickey's Philharmagic and Wishes that weekend.) But I noticed a lot more kids (probably on fall break.) Also, we were able to get in on the last day for off season rates...and from what we were told, if you start yoru vacation that way..you keep it that way.

So, my suggestion is if you are willing to take them out a week anyway, go the first week of the Party. Lighter crowds and better rates plus it is a blast and they give out really good candy that first night! Have fun no matter what you decide!
