My husband and I are going to be able to go to Disney in November for our 18th anniv. without the kids! and we can't decide where to stay. We are thinking about either boardwalk villas or the Poly. Please tell me the best way to enjoy just the two of us at Disney! We have always stayed at the mods. in 2 rooms but we want something Romantic. Please help us!

Can't address the BWV because we haven't stayed there, but the Polynesian Resort is lovely- especially at night when the tiki torches are lit.

We stayed at the Poly last time liked it alot. Me DH & DS 4. There is not a hot tub(spa)

When are you going in Nov will the F&W Fest being going on? I think you should think about the location of each resort. BWV is close to Epcot & Studios. It also has more nitelife.

DH & I are going in Oct for our 15th. We chose WL. I have always wanted to stay there.

There is a good book coming out July 22, WDW for Couples-or something like that it is a update. The book has major details on resorts & romance at WDW.

I think you would enjoy both-I know that does not Help:)

I would suggest Boardwalk Villas for it's proximity to Epcot, especially in November.

DH and I went to WDW last November without the kids to celebrate our 18th anniversary! We had such a great time - I'm sure you will too!!

We had previously stayed at WL, AKL, and the Poly. We enjoyed each resort, and would love to go back and stay at any one of them again. But...I really wanted to try YC this time, and DH had no desire to stay at an Epcot resort. Being the sweet man that he is, he deferred to me on the resort. We absolutely LOVED the YC - everything about it :p !! It is our favortie resort, and I would highly reccomend it. We found it very beautiful and calming, and had a fantastic view of the wedding gazebo and the BWI across the lagoon. We also love Beaches and Cream and Cape May (didn't try the Yachtman). Also the Epcot resort location is just fabulous - so convenient.

Hope you have a great trip, whichever resort you decide on :D !

Each has a special atmosphere, and is very different than the other. The Poly has always seemed more laid back, a place to wander around, and has the convenience of the monorail to some of the best "fine dining" at the resorts Disney has to offer. Boardwalk is also lovely, has great views of MGM and EPCOT depending on where your room is, and has a ton more "to do" in the evenings. If the F&W Festival is going on you can wander through there in the evening, then visit any of the Boardwalk night clubs (ESPN, Big River, Jellyrolls), do karoke at the Swan, and go dancing at Atlantic Dance. If you want to stroll in sand and watch the castle then Poly is the way to go. If you want to do things you wouldn't normally do with the kids I would pick Boardwalk.

The Polynesian is so romantic just based on it's theming. But if you get a 1BR villa a the BWV you'll have that jacuzzi tub.

If you were thinking of a studio at BWV, then the Polynesian is much more romantic. But given the choice of a 1BR villa or the Polynesian I think BWV would win. (Unless it was lagoon view concierge at the poly...then that would win hands down!)
