DH & I will be staying 9/1-9/7 at ASMu w/ free dining, upgraded to basic dining. It's an anniversary trip. Which of these plans should I stick with?

9/1 Tutto Italia dinner
9/2 Sanaa dinner
9/3 Be Our Guest breakfast (still trying for dinner)
9/4 Coral Reef dinner
9/5 Grand Floridian Café dinner
9/6 Kona breakfast

or

cancelling 9/1 Tutto Italia & 9/5 GFC & using these credits for Yachtsman Steakhouse on 9/5
we won't be arriving on 9/1 until after lunch so we would have qs instead of ts

or

keeping 9/1 Tutto Italia
adding 9/5 Yachtsman
& paying OOP for Kona breakfast

The only one I question is BOG. I know you're trying for dinner, but I heard the breakfast is terrible/not worth the value. I've done dinner there and it's just average, but maybe you're going when they change the menu. I would go for Skipper's Canteen if you need to stay in the park.

We love Sanaa dinner and Kona breakfast. That being said I would not use a TS credit for any breakfast especially Kona - it is not that expensive and you will be losing money. Definitely pay OOP for Kona breakfast. We really like GFC - it is a nice place with good food.

As for using 2 TS credits for a meal - I am not a dining plan person - but to me to make it worth it - the meal (without tip) should be at least $100. And I am not sure how the dining plan works at Yachtsman Steakhouse.

To get the most out of you TS credit - the meal should be at least $50 - and at Kona cafe you won't come close to that.

About BOG - I think during the summer - dinner is going to be 2 TS - so I wouldn't do that either. I don't love BOG - it is a nice restaurant - but some of the meals are just average.

I hope that helps.

So now you 2 have me thinking I should cancel BOG. Now I’m thinking Tutto Italia for 9/3.

Yes, to add the only breakfast imo worth your DP credits if you are indeed planning on a breakfast would be Garden Grill. Reserve a breakfast time close to opening and you can save your tier 1 FP for Frozen. As soon as the park opens you can ride Soarin' practically a walk-on 2-3x and then go to your breakfast reservation. They serve all you can eat family style platters and the featured characters are Chip & Dale, Mickey and Pluto. Worth the value there, but even then we paid OOP for this experience.

BOG breakfast is trash. The croque madame I ordered was ok, but portion size was small and it was $25 for the plate. Wife ordered egg white omelet...again $25 and had minimal ingredients with maximum salt. Kid ate crepes which were decent, but expensive. I'd pass.

@ktink if you have a Facebook account join the group "Disney Foodies" and they will tell you what is good. I swear, this group makes my mouth water when I see Disney food photos on the daily! You can also see pictures of the *cough cough* edible cuisine at the $$$$$ BOG breakfast :rotfl2:

So out of pocket I agree with you, it’s pricy for something considered counter service but using the counter service credits on the dining plan I think it’s a good choice. You get to look around the castle and it’s not like magic kingdom is loaded with good counter service.
