Renting points for DVC stay in August.

Going to rent a 2bdr villa, do I go with OKW or SSR and save $$$ or do I splurge and go with VWL? I know all are available, difference in price is more than $450 for the length of our stay.

Also, if I go with OKW or SSR, which one?

Thanks in advance

Are you aware of the construction happening around the resort at WL/VWL?

I might wait to splurge although there is still a lot to love about VWL. Between the other two it's so hard to beat the size of the OKW units and the large balconies with tables to sit at. It's a very laid back atmosphere. But SSR is nice too even if the units are not as roomy and you can walk to DTD if that's an interest. Otherwise both OKW and SSR have boats going there too.

It would depend on other variables such as group size, car options and level of Disney experience. Even with a car I'd tend to go with SSR in that situation for August due to the pool (August) and location. For a studio I might go with OKW instead. Truthfully it'd likely be none of the above opting for BWV standard view or AKV savannah view.

Dean, we are "Disney pro's", have been 19 times in the last 10 years. Always rent a car, group includes myself, DW and 2 DD's 15 and 13. Pool is a BIG deciding factor for my kids. Thanks for your input.

If pool is a big factor, then why not AKV? We just stayed in a 2Br and it was perfect! And there are two large pools to choose from and plenty of activities. We spent three days there and still didn't do everything we wanted to do at the resort :). Plus, my kids loved the Savannah view (especially the 1yo).

Then I'd do SSR and ask for the Paddocks near the pool. Best pool of the group, close to the Springs, good parking and fairly easy to get around given those choices you presented even without the VWL construction.

Love SSR! The Paddock pool is our favorite pool, and it is just a short easy walk to the other feature pool. That's right! Two slides and pools to explore. Plus if you have a little one the Paddock has a bunch of slides for kids under 48 inches. The ability to walk to Disney Springs is a huge bonus for us because we love Earl of Sandwich and my son loves the Lego store and fountains. The community hall and resort activities at SSR are top notch as well. I would definitely choose SSR over OKW

I have never stayed at SSR or OKW but if I were choosing one it would be SSR for the proximity to Disney Springs.
