Fellow DVCers, please help me decide.

I will be at BC for a week in May with my youngest daughter. My oldest daughter is flying in at the tail end of the trip on a Thursday night so that we can visit Rollins College on Friday morning. That tour & info session will wrap up around noon, so we have the remainder of the day to enjoy. I have an AP and my younger daughter has a 7 day hopper.

So my question is: Do I splurge and spend another $103 so the 3 of us can enjoy Epcot Friday afternoon / evening (there are EMH that night). Or, do we save our $$ and have dinner and do some shopping at DTD.

I am torn. I hate to give up our "last night" in the parks and waste the last day on the 7 day hopper, but I also think $103 for one day is extravagant. I certainly don't mind spending on WDW, but I usually try to be "smart" with my spending...my older daughter joining us and the college tour was all a last minute plan. She is very thrifty (not sure where she gets it!) and is leaning toward DTD, but would be happily surprised if I went the Epcot route.

There are good dining and FP options available - I checked!

So, to splurge or not to splurge???

Thanks for any input!

I would do the park...Enjoy!! Make a memory.

See if AAA (if you belong) or your job have discounts. Also check Undercover Tourist to see if they have anything. If all of that yields nothing, bite the bullet and do Epcot. Think about your hourly wage for that $103 and would you trade those hours to spend time with your DD. I BET THE ANSWER IS "yes." Enjoy!!!!

I'm In the minority but I would "Splurge" on a really nice dinner, at her favorite restaurant, instead of EPCOT (my favorite park). If your daughter ends up going to Rollins, you'll have many more times in the future to hit the parks with your daughter.

I think both options are delightful! If splurging will cause more financial stress than it's worth, then go with the DTD route. There's no point in spending if you're not going to enjoy it to the fullest. In the end, your time with your daughter(s) is all that counts so enjoy either way. Have a great time!! :)

I vote for Epcot. You will probably end up spending a lot more if you go shopping instead. Either way, time spent with daughters is always time well spent.
