Which time of year do you prefer, May, Sept or Oct?
We would be doing a 7 day Western, with no holiday dates included. Middle of the month. We have been on 2 Sept cruises, one being Hurricane Floyd, but have never been any other month.
Please give me all your great advice. :D

I've done Sep and May. May by far was the best in regards to weather. Not a cloud in the sky the entire week. On the Sep, it rained the entire time. Of course, if your looking at cost, I believe Oct would be the least expensive and this would be my choice if not for school considerations. We're going May again next year... in the high price season :(

we have done all months.....and we even hit a huricane on our honeymoon in oct one time.........we really like october thru dec because of the weather....and we are from tn too!!!! now that we have the titans we only travel during bye weeks.....we are cruising this week on 8/31 with the baby and we return in time for the football game against the eagles on sun 9/8.........7 day western ...............should be fun

I love May in Florida, and my one other Carib cruise was in May, and it was delightful. Due to vacation schedules, we are cruising in November and we hope it will be ok. To be honest, just getting out of New Hampshire in Nov. should be pleasure enough!!

As a general rule, the weather is less likely to get nasty in May. Sept 9 is the actual "peak" of hurricane season (yes, I know - we'll be on the Magic on that date + it's our anniversary) and May is "dry" season. Spring also tends to be less humid than the fall.

Remember, though, this is Florida so if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes!

Being born and raised in Key West, I suggest May - it isn't steaming hot yet (well not to me that is) - the rain doesn't really hit until June - tho from what I understand from my family - this year has been great where rain was concern - weather in Florida is so hard to predict - don't like the weather - stay around for a little while and it changes :D
If I can help any further, drop me a line at snelsonbrown@aol.com
Always

Kim we are doing a cruise again with Eric from frankfort Germany on 10/11/2003. Sorry that you were not able to cruise with us last year on 09/22/2001. Mike

We've cruised in May (3x) and September (1x). I prefer May although September wasn't all that bad. We had a few thunderstorms but that was about it. Nothing to ruin our vacation!

We are booked for a Sept. Cruise... For us, the prices during the high season are just out of the question!! I know that the weather will be warm, but guess all we can do is cross our fingers and hope that the tropical rains hold off!!!

Any other Sept. weather cruise reports??

Thanks everyone for the great advice, keep it coming:)
