Help me decide- which Beach!

We are going to Disney next August 25th-Sept5th We are looking to do a Beach day at the beginning, figured we would stay 2 nights to get 1 full day at the beach, then head to Disney. DD10 and DS12, they both want waves but they also want seashells, so I can't decide Atlantic or Gulf. DD10 keeps telling me she wants Cocoa Beach, DS wants the Gulf side, we have never been to either! There are way too many beaches to choose from! Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

We love Clearwater and St. Pete beaches and make a trip over everytime we are at WDW. The water just seems calmer which is great with our girls. We also just found Honeymoon Island, it was beautiful. I don't believe we saw five people the entire day. Have a great trip.

We enjoyed a day at Cocoa Beach on our August trip. While I can't compare it to the Gulf beaches (which I hear are also lovely), we had a great time. In addition to the time you will spend enjoying the surf and sand, Cocoa Beach has Ron Jon's Surf Shop (the world's largest) which is worth a visit.

We saw lots of little shells in the sand, and it was very clean and quiet. The drive there and back was super-easy, and only took about an hour each way from Orlando.
