Help me decide when to go to DL Resort!

Hi guys! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted, but I wanted to reach out to see if anyone can give me some good advice. I am bringing my 13 year old twin boys to the DL Resort next Jan 2025. We've never seen the holiday overlays (NBC and Small World), but would really love to as we live in FL and don’t get to go to DL as often as we’d like. Should we go Jan 3-9th and have a better chance at experiencing the holiday overlays before they take them down, but risk the enormous crowds? Or should we go a little later Jan 6th-11th and hope the holidays last a little longer and hopefully have less crowds?? Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED.

Go with your first set of dates because Disneyland typically removes the holiday decorations after Kings day. Which in 2025 is January 6.

And others who've been to DL in the past few years can verify, but I don't think there are large crowds after New Year's, are there? Maybe for a few days in 2025 because of the first being on a Wednesday, but I suspect that things will thin out after Sunday the 5th. So if you go the 3rd-9th, you should have some sorta crowded days you can put up with to have the special rides you want to experience, and also some less-crowded days.

Even better, Disney staggers the HM and IASW closures so they aren't both closed at the same time. In other words, one of them will not go down in early January.
