We our having trouble deciding whether to do the 2011 member cruise or not. Please help us decide. At the time of the cruise we will have a 4 year old (almost 5) daughter and another daughter who will just be a little over 1 year old. We have done the disney cruise before (not the member cruise) but we were not parents yet. Here are our questions:

How hard is it to get a reservation? (before I get my hopes up and spend countless hours making a decision I want to know I would even have a chance of getting on the boat)

Will our children like it?

Is there a significant difference between a regular cruise and the member cruise?

Should we pay for it, use our points, or a combination of both?

Would it be better to wait until Dec 2011 when our daughter turns 5 and celebrate her birthday at WDW in the parks?

Any other advice that would sway by decision one way or the other?

Thanks!!

I've never done the cruise because my kids are older and I won't pull them out of school. So I say go for it while yours are still young.

In prior years the member cruise sold out in one day. The prior cruises were on the Wonder which has a capacity of 2400 passengers. The 2011 member cruise is on the Dream which has a capacity of 4000 passengers.

For the member cruise, the stop at Nassau is replaced with a second stop at Castaway Cay. The member cruise will still have all of the regular DCL entertainment but there will also be a lot of DVC presentations with a push to do an add-on.
